I wanted to update this review since speaking with the owner and addressing my concerns. There was never a doubt that this company did excellent work, which is why I would always recommend them. My previous caveat regarding the communication through the call center has been resolved with some recent changes. I am relieved to know that going forward I'll be able to reach local personal directly for any issues or annual service.I'll keep my unedited previous review below for transparency:"We had a new furnace and heat pump installed last year, and I want to give credit to the installation team; they were professional and did a great job. However, the administrative side has become a major frustration. We chose Wightman because of their local reputation, but since the Reliance acquisition, that 'hometown' feel is gone.Communication is now a struggle; it took multiple follow-ups just to get a quote and start the project. Now, everything goes through an outsourced call center. The agents lack local knowledge and can't answer basic technical questions, which is jarring compared to the personalized service Wightman used to provide. It’s disappointing that I’m now locked in to this system for annual warranty service when the local care and accountability seem to have disappeared."
Fantastic service from start to finish. Dwight ensured my older furnace was serviced with care, including the required service bulletin, and everything was checked to make sure it was running safely. I really appreciated that there was no upselling and no condescending explanations - just clear, knowledgeable guidance. Dwight really took the time to answer all my questions and let me know about the rebate. Thorough, professional and he even won over my dog!
Excellent service. Pleasant, knowledgeable and competent technician. Did our furnace maintenance quickly and efficiently. Clearly explained all they did and any issues or factors they found with recommendations and options moving forward to best serve us and our appliance. We use Wightman Mechanical for all our furnace and air conditioning needs and this maintenance visit was another great example on why we trust them.
Finally bit the bullet on a new Carrier dual fuel heat pump and new hot water tank. Sales person was helpful in explaining my options, and they help you with the Fortis rebate application. Installers were experienced, professional, on time, and left the area clean and tidy when complete. Really enjoying the new system!
We're very happy with our new furnace. Rob was extremely helpful in helping us decide what furnace to use. He is honest and gave us great advise, no hard sell, just straight facts. It was a pleasant experience. The installers were outstanding. They were extremely neat and polite. They left our home in the same condition that they found it. No mess or damage.
