Expedited Heat & Air

I called these guys to come troubleshoot my AC that was freezing up in July of 2025. They came out quickly and proceeded to troubleshoot my system. In the process they blew up my thermostat, fried my wiring, and my control board for my air handler. Then they Charged me 5K for a new compressor. It is now March of 2026 and the compressor has gone bad again. Even though the part is covered under a 1 year warranty they still wanted to charge me $1,500.00 to come fix it again. Through frustration I agreed to pay. They told me they needed to order the part and would come put it in the next day. Well 4 days went buy and I called another AC company and gave them the Model and SN of the AC and compressor. Somehow the other company could get it same day. So it appears that Expedited Heat & Air was just stalling in hopes that the heat would force my hand to buy a new AC. Well it did force my hand, I hired another company to fix their sorry workmanship for less than they wanted to charge me for a warranty replacement. Moral of the story is they are both incompetent and dishonest and charged me 5K for 9 months worth of AC. Oh and the compressor they put in was from 2018 which was a year older than my entire AC.

The way this company operates raises serious concerns about oversight, professionalism, and compliance with basic licensing and consumer-protection standards. Any properly licensed and regulated HVAC company would understand the seriousness of possible mold exposure and would not behave this way.

I contacted them for a serious health concern, possible mold in my A/C vents and it’s obvious this company does not take mold, safety, or customers seriously.

I received a text at 8:52 a.m. stating that Joshua Davis was en route (Tuesday 12/30). He later received the lockbox code directly from my realtor, acknowledged it, and said he would come another day(Friday 01/02). That day never happened. No follow-up. No call. No explanation. Just complete silence.

I spent the entire day calling the office, repeatedly, and was brushed off with empty responses like “I’ll text him” or “I’ll take a message.” No urgency. No accountability. No professionalism despite involving a potential health hazard.

This was my first and last interaction with this company. I will be documenting this experience, encouraging others to verify licensing, and escalating complaints to the appropriate regulatory agencies. If you value your time, your health, or dealing with a company that actually follows professional standards, stay far away.

This company does a great job appearing professional on the surface. The branding, sales pitch, and promises all make it sound like a high-quality HVAC provider. Unfortunately, once you’re actually involved, it becomes clear that the operation is poorly managed and heavily sales-driven.

Internally, the company is disorganized and mismanaged. Communication between sales, technicians, and management is inconsistent, leading to missed expectations and broken promises. What is sold upfront rarely aligns with what is delivered. Customers are consistently overpromised on performance, timelines, and value, only to be left disappointed once the job is complete.

Pricing is extremely inflated for what you actually receive. Customers are often sold bottom-tier equipment at premium prices, with little transparency about system quality or alternatives. Comparable services can be found elsewhere for far less, with better workmanship and honesty.

One of the biggest concerns is the diagnostic process. Issues are frequently exaggerated or misrepresented to justify expensive replacements rather than honest repairs. This creates the impression that recommendations are driven by profit rather than what’s truly best for the homeowner.

Ultimately, the company went bankrupt, which speaks volumes about how it was run. Customers were charged aggressively while corners were cut on equipment and service, leaving many without meaningful support or accountability afterward.

In my opinion, this company relied on image and sales tactics rather than integrity and quality. I strongly recommend getting second opinions and thoroughly comparing options before trusting them with such a major investment.

Yes 5 stars! This is a great company who's customer service is #1! I just had a new A/C system installed and all my duct work and vents cleaned. A great job from beginning to end! Starting with the excellent professionals I met and spoke with from office manager Maria, general manager Patrick, installers Joe and Jose, and duct work techs Trey and Jose!
They were all very knowledgeable and helpful and answered every question I had. Their cleanup was like they were never here! Very consciousness and respectful of myself and my whole house.

I needed a second opinion on my 14 year old system that was well past it's best operational days. I found Expedited Heat & Air in the monthly Home Magazine then looked them up in the Lakeland BBB. They have an A rating which I totally agree with. I highly recommend this company for all of your A/C and heating needs! No complaints what so ever!!

My floor still looks like he did not cover anything up when they did the work... charged a crazy amount but I'm mostly pissed because the clean out drain is in the bedroom instead outside the first week it started spilling over and smelled the whole room. The 6th picture is how my floor looks today. When I got home, I was pissed because the whole entire house was covered in dust. he covered up afterwards the damage was done.
