Vortex came out as part of a remodel to install a mini split. Shazie Ali met with me to discuss what we were looking for in a mini split and went over the appropriate sizing of the unit. They came out two times, once for the installation and one other time for the final work needed after our electric work was ready. The team at Vortex was superior. The work they did was great! Extremely couteous and very professional. We are very happy with the work they did and the unit that was installed.

DJ Nesbit came to my home and replaced the Circuit Board that burned down. He checked that my heater system and my A/C was working good before he left. I’m very satisfied with the service I received.
Vortex is a great name for this company. They took our mess of an HVAC system which felt like a tornado amongst all other daily storms we face and made everything good as new.Responsive, timely, and fair !
Honest, Knowledgeable, and Truly Professional – A Rare Find!I rarely ever write reviews, but I felt I had to this time because it’s not often you come across someone as honest and full of integrity as Shazie from Vortex Mechanical Heating and Cooling Heating.I’ve moved many times and dealt with several HVAC companies over the years, so I’ve had my share of experiences. Recently, my furnace stopped responding after having a new air conditioner and smart thermostat installed by Coolray in May. My furnace suddenly didn’t work, so I called them back, their technician, Jacob, told me that my furnace control board had failed and recommended replacing the board for $1,600 or the entire furnace for $4,500. They also charged me $59 fee for them to come out because it wasn’t part of their installation. I told him it had been working fine before their installation, but he insisted it was just a coincidence and said my 13-year-old Rheem furnace was “due for replacement.”Not feeling confident, I called another company Bartlett Heating & Cooling for a second opinion, and technician James said the same thing — that Rheem furnaces only last 8–10 years. But after doing my own research, I found that these units can last up to 24 years. That’s when I called Vortex Heating and spoke with Shazie. He was polite, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful from the start. He told me that if the control board had failed, replacing it would allow the unit to run another 10 years why would you want to replace the whole unit. I was so happy to hear that as it would save me couple thousand $ and which matched what I’d learned myself that the unit can last for 24 years. He came out to take a look, ran a quick test, and within minutes discovered that the issue wasn’t the furnace at all — it was just the thermostat configuration from the AC installation! He reconfigured it in less than two minutes, and my furnace started working perfectly again. To my surprise, he didn’t even charge me for the visit. That level of honesty and integrity is truly rare these days.I’m so grateful for his professionalism, knowledge, and kindness. If you’re looking for an honest and trustworthy HVAC technician, I can’t recommend Shazie at Vortex Heating highly enough.
