Tim was awesome and set me up with a great Mitsubishi unit. He was very knowledgeable and was a pleasure to work with.
I had called them for a fireplace repair since it was not turning on. It was a new fireplace only 2 years old and my warranty had already expired.When the guy came he told me that the gas valve is bad and it needs to be replaced. I asked him since it not that old and gas valve takes a pretty long time to get bad maybe it something else. He said he was sure about it and it will cost around $1000+ and will be done when they order the part. They also charged me $109.40 for inspection. Somehow I was not convinced so I called another company to have a look at it. And they said that the gas valve was absolutely fine nothing wrong with it. Only someone had pulled out some wires and he just had to reconnect them and it started working. They charged me only how many hours they worked. So my suggestion is to stay away from this company.
I scheduled a service a few weeks in advance and adjusted my work schedule to be home for the repair. On the day of the scheduled repair, I waited past the window I was given (8a-9a) and called to see what the ETA was. When I called I was told they were short a repair man that day and they had planned on calling to let me know. I asked why they didn’t call sooner because I could have made it to work that day (I work 45 min away). The woman on the phone asked “Why would you take the whole day off, it’s only an hour appointment”. Then she told me I could text the number I had contacted to set up the appointment to reschedule. She said she couldn’t set it up over the phone because she worked on the sales floor. I paid no attention to her rude demeanor and proceeded to hang up and text the number I had contacted previously. When I texted the number, I received the response of “ Like I said, She will be giving you a call as soon as she has a new date to offer, thank you.” Not only were they lacking communication through this process, but the attitude and rude response via text was unnecessary and very unprofessional. I have decided to go with someone else, regardless of the higher price, I would rather go with a company that is respectful and professional. Best of luck to Sundance and maybe a course on how to communicate with customers would help with poor service ratings.
I was very impressed with the service received from Sundance putting in my AC unit. Doug the consultant, John and Adam the techs. I have been with the company for 15yrs putting in heater&heater unit,always good service thank you!
