I recently had an issue with my furnace this Saturday morning with -30 temperatures outside and 60 degrees inside, I first called reliance and they said they would come out on Monday morning and I couldn’t wait until then so I googled and found out about Black River heating and cooling, I called their emergency services and contacted Jacob, he was very good at diagnosing the problem and had my furnace up and running in no time.. I’m very happy with the service!

I cannot say enough good things about Jake at Black River Heating & Cooling. Not only does he know his stuff and have reasonable rates but he is an exceptionally kind and personable guy. I feel like I’ve made a friend. I was in a real bind when my archaic propane furnace quit on New Years Eve. I called him the next day and he came right out even though it was a stat holiday. My furnace is old & a bit unusual but he got it going, made sure it was safe then tackled my freestanding propane fireplace. The fireplace came with the house but had never used it in the14 years I’ve been here. I wanted it as a back up so Jake got that working, cleaned up and tested for safety. He then patiently walked me through how to operate it. Thanks to Jake, I now have piece of mind knowing that I can heat my home even in a power outtage or furnace failure. Believe the reviews, Jake and his crew are the answer to your HVAC prayers when you need reliable, honest and friendly help whether it’s for regular maintenance or a break down. I can confidently say that I am a customer for life and will recommend Black River Heating & Cooling to anyone who will listen. Thanks Jake, you rock!
