The service was fine however, they added an additional $70 trip fee in addition to the existing trip and diagnostic fee without telling me before coming out. This is a new fee and outrageous. I am moving on to a different service provider.
Don did a good job with the diagnostics. I understood what he found and the communication was clear. I did have him, as recommended, deep clean two AC units for $370 ish. I don’t believe he spent more than 1 hour actually cleaning and there was no part replacement. Very expensive for 1 hour of work. He left a bunch of leaves in the base of the unit without cleaning them out which was surprising (see photos). We were disappointed with that work. Overall, a poor price/value and not confident they were properly cleaned.
Craig, who came out to evaluate us for a system replacement, discovered a minor gas leak in our nearby water heater supply tubing that was due to an improper install. I am incredibly thankful to him. He saved our family potentially years of increasing negative health effects. None of the other techs who came to look at the system noticed it. He also offered a very competitive price for the systems that we were looking at.
Joe was professional and quick. He even waited for me to get home from work, which was 37 minutes. He had called and said he was ahead of schedule. He could’ve gone to the next call and then come back. Instead he waited. Not to many technicians would do that. Says a lot about Lancaster Brothers. That is a big reason why we still use their services. Thank you all!Steve L
