Mike and his team did a fantastic job installing a Mitsubishi mini split system in our new home recently.The team that did the work were incredibly friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. Lisa in the office was very courteous and helpful. Mike was always available to answer any technical questions or assist with the Mass Save Heat Loan and Rebates.The team installed our system in a day and spent the time showing us how to use the new system as well as the Mitsubishi app.We would 100% recommend Coastal Heating and Air Conditioning to anyone!!!

The installation was completed on time, with minimal disruption, and the crew left the workspace clean and tidy.They made sure everything was running perfectly before they left. 5 stars isn't enough. During a heat wave (105°) I called, and because I wasn't a long-time customer, they just couldn't fit me in. They gave me a couple of phone #s to call, and I got an appointment for the next day. They called me back and said they could squeeze me in, but I said I was all set. That was until I got a quote. To try to keep this short, the quote was outrageous. I called Lisa, and she had her guys out, and they gave me a quote for a full heat pump replacement that was $11,000 cheaper than I had. It got easier after that. Lisa contacted me almost daily to arrange everything. Day of installation everyone was on time, clean and professional. And they were done before their scheduled finish time. The owner Mike was fantastic to deal with. Nick, Alex, and Dana were amazing, but Lisa is special. She doesn't know me from a whole in the wall, but cared about me and everything like we were lifelong friends. This is the Company and People you want to deal with. No exceptions. And I will recommend them to everyone I know.
*Update- the owner Mike called me and apologized for the poor customer service. He was very kind and understanding and is refunding us for the second visit.*We hired Coastal to fix the AC in our condo. Unfortunately, it stopped working again less than 2 weeks after the initial repair. They came back and told us the entire system needed to be replaced because our R22 refrigerant was low. We were told by the tech, Alex, the second visit would be no charge but ended up getting an invoice anyway, which we did pay. In total we paid ~$750 for the two visits and were unfortunately still without AC.When we called to discuss the estimate for a full system replacement, the customer service experience was very disappointing. We asked if there was any flexibly on pricing given what we had already paid. The woman on the phone responded with hostility and seemed to get angry at me for even asking. She abruptly ended the call with “good luck” and hung up on me.After this upsetting interaction, we got a second opinion. It turns out the R22 levels were in fact not low- the real issue was the internal fan speed setting simply needed to be increased. Our AC now works perfectly, and we avoided spending over $10,000 on an unnecessary replacement.If you’re considering working with Coastal, I strongly recommend getting a second opinion.
Our air conditioning failed during last summers heat wave and I had difficulty getting someone to look atour problem until I contacted Coastal Air. The technician arrived the following day and had the a/c repaired in less than 2 hours. We have had multiple problems with our systems that are more 30 years old. We decided it was time to replace 30-year-old gas furnace and a/c systems with a high efficiency one. After reviewing 3 companies to do the work we decided on Coastal. I received a detailed proposal from Michael the owner that included what type of units to be installed with the efficiency ratings for each and a narrative explaining the installation of the units. Michael also followed up with a phone call to be sure I understood the proposal and asked if I had any questions. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the final cost to replace both systems was considerably less than the other companies I contacted.The entire job of removing furnace, a/c coils, a/c condenser and replacing them with a high efficiency system was completed in 1 day. I was in the HVAC installation business years ago and I thought I was good, but I couldn't compare to the incredible efficiency of these guys.I give all the credit to Michael, the owner who runs this business with the attitude that customer satisfaction is the number 1 priority to him. We not only saved a considerable amount of money compared to the other companies we contacted, but had the best equipment installed without any disruptions to our household.We are more than satisfied with Coastal and you will be too. It was a pleasure to finally deal with a company who prides itself on customer satisfaction at a reasonable price. Well done, Michael. You should be proud of the business you have created.
