I had an awesome experience with Curtis from Allianz Heating & Air! I have my swamp cooler serviced or repaired every year but this is the first time a technician has taken the time to explain to me how my system works and steps that could be taken to preserve my system and save money. I live rurally and they don’t charge an extra distance fee like most places. Curtis was great, there was zero pressure to upsell and buy things I didn’t need but did find a annual service plan that would meet my needs and save me money overall. I recommend Curtis from Allianz!
Absolutely fantastic service from Dan Cabral today in servicing my HVAC. He was friendly, comma, professional, comma, and courteous. Great sense of humor. He also pointed out something I hadn't noticed which is that a tree branch likely struck my HVAC unit. But he reassured me that the unit is performing properly. I have been a big fan of this company for many years and am a raving fan about Dan.
Needing a new HVAC is not something anyone wants to hear or do (well we didn't). It's a large purchase and can be worrisome due to cost, installation and time. When our HVAC decided it was done fulfilling it's duties being quite old we reached out to Allianz Heating & Air. Jake came out promptly, gave us a quote, explained our options and helped us through the financing process. One week later we had our new unit installed. The technicians Jason and Tanner were friendly, quick and efficient. They were respectful of noise, explained everything they were doing, helped set up my thermostat and answered all of my questions. Even after we had the duct testing and had to have some additional work done, they were on top of it and had things taken care of. We didn't have to worry about anything. I would highly recommend Allianz Heating & Air.
Since we purchased our HVAC system from Alliance and were impressed by their work, we turned to them first in an emergency. During the recent flooding, our ductwork was wiped out under our house. Within a day they had assessed the damage and gave us a reasonable and detailed estimate. It had to dry out in order to be able to do the work, so we were without heat for over 2 weeks. During this time they kept checking on us and giving updates. Michael N and Joey J were efficient, friendly, and cheerful considering the rather nasty scope of work. They got the job done and we were soon back in action. I do want to mention that this was a stressful situation for us since we also had no water. We recently hired Allianz to install a new Lennox HVAC system, only to discover that they had put in an older, soon-to-be-outdated unit instead of the one in our contract. When we asked our rep about it, he said, “Oh yeah, I thought that was a better unit for you,” and admitted he hadn’t informed us because he “didn’t want to bother us.”This was shocking — both because it was a blatant breach of contract (which he was initially unapologetic about) and because we had been clear that we wanted a model with the newer refrigerant, not one with R-410A, which is being phased out (and is no longer compliant for residential installations in California unless the permit was pulled before 2025).To their credit, they did eventually install the correct unit once we confronted them, and their installers were professional (hence the extra star). But in my opinion, they were trying to unload a model they had to get rid of, assuming we wouldn’t notice.The whole experience was troubling and left us with serious doubts about their business practices.
