I recently contacted Moore’s for a thermostat failure in my 3-year-old new construction home, and they delivered impressive same-day service. The technician was efficient, professional, diagnosed the issue quickly, replaced the faulty thermostat, and the repair has worked perfectly since—no further problems.However, the final bill was significantly higher than I expected for such a simple job on a relatively new system. It included a $40 service call fee (minimum), $139/hour labor (also minimum charge)… and even for 30 mins of work, I understand these minimum charges. BUT, then add a $50 warranty processing fee to handle the claim on the defective part. While I understand businesses have overhead, administrative costs, and value in providing emergency same-day availability, a $50 “processing fee” on top felt excessive—especially for a seldom-used upstairs thermostat that failed prematurely in a home this new. It’s disappointing to absorb extra costs for both the inconvenience and a manufacturer defect outside my control.I called the office afterward to discuss the invoice and express that, in my opinion, the total charges were unreasonable for the work performed. I was simply told, “Sorry, that’s the bill,” with no further discussion or flexibility offered.I appreciate the fast response when I needed it most, but the lack of transparency or willingness to address billing concerns leaves a sour taste. I’d recommend Moore’s in a true emergency where speed outweighs cost, but I’ll be shopping around (and asking about all fees upfront) for future HVAC needs.

Moore's is always 5 Star. They show up when they say they will, and provide great service. Jerry came out and helped me better understand what we were looking at, and walked me through options. Can't say enough great things about this business. Highly recommend.
Tony was absolutely amazing. He was here from 8:30-6:30 working on my unit install and fixed a few problems that came up along the way. He kept a very positive attitude and was very sweet and explained everything to me.
