Purchased air conditioning/heating unit from NORTHERN CLIMATE. *Immediately post installation an electrician had to be called due a problem a NORTHERN CLIMATE worker created and left.*We were told little water will drain from unit “barely notice it”. Next day water starts draining (sometimes pouring out) from unit against the house, not through installed tubing. Called for fix. Maintenance worker came, caused additional problems, made a few derogatory and unprofessional remarks clearly surprising both his apprentice workers and myself. Again, we were told “the unit does not produce much water, you’ll barely notice it. It’s nothing to be concerned with.”Owner said he’d like to handle it. He made an appointment to come check it out. Didn’t show. Didn’t call. Made another appointment. Again, didn’t show (had an accident). Didn’t call. Again, I give him the benefit of the doubt. Numerous calls later, the owner is ghosting us. Now have a mound of ice next to the foundation approximately 15 inches deep X 18 inches wide post chipping away at it weekly. A neighbor has their own issues with same company. This started in June 2025 and it is now Feb.1, 2026. No return call since mid August 2025. Am presently starting proceedings to report the company to the Better Business Bureau then legal action. I WOULD NOT recommend NORTHERN CLIMATE.

Purchased new furnace and air conditioner from them. Did the whole quote over the phone and email with pictures, texts, and a quick phone call. They were able to install my furnace in the crawl space when my first choice of company said it couldn't be done. They beat the first quote by over $3000, and they pointed out many mistakes and blatant misinformation the other company gave me. Staff were fast, friendly, on time, professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and clean. Erik kept me in the loop the whole way and was very patient with my questions. Helene was a dream to work with and made everything easy and fast. Amazing service!That other company lost my business (which I had been a loyal customer for over 15 years for maintenance) and I will be taking my business here from now on.
After several very frustrating weeks trying to have a fireplace diagnosed and fixed which left me feeling less than impressed, I did finally have the pleasure of welcoming Eric (technician) into my home who was aware that he was walking into a circumstance where the client was not very happy, however his disposition, customer service skills and his excellent capability as a technician remedied the situation and turned a negative experience into a very positive one. There is no question that Eric is an invaluable asset to this organization and I certainly hope he is recognized for this and would highly recommend his service.
