Grand Canyon Home Service was called to my home to repair my fireplace. Mike & Todd were the repair men that arrived & went above & beyond to help fix my fireplace in a professional manner. Both were very knowledgeable, friendly & on time. I would highly recommend this company & these two service technicians to help resolve your problems for plumbing, heating & air conditioning, fireplace & multiple other services. They won't disappoint. I felt their charges for their services were reasonable & fair.
Way over charged me for a capacitor replacement. Knew I was in Colorado (snowbird), so charged me $1,264 to replace the capacitor. Wasn't much I could do after he was already on site. I now have an honest company on a service contract so that won't happen again. The company I use now would have charged appox $200 (without the service contract) for the same work. It was not an emergency trip that would have required extra charge. When I asked him why so much, he said you are paying for my expertise. He was at the house for just over an hour. Be careful.Update - GCHS called me. After talking to them I decided I really need to help others undestand that there are major issues with this company. Core problem is the Invoice does not break out the work as parts, labor etc. It is just one line item for $1264. That is a MAJOR RED FLAG when a company does not break out their invoice (I've attached the invoice). GCHS agrees they replaced the capacitor and connector and that they were there for appox one hour. So let's see if we can recreate the invoice with details. They installed a JARD 17425 connector (current price on Amazon is $33) and a MARS 14255 capacitor (current price on Amazon is $34). We know companies increase the price of parts, so lets double it = $134. Maybe just Roud to $200 to be on the safe side. So $1264 (invoice) minus 200 for parts = $1064. GCHS could not tell me where the $1064 went. The only thing left is labor. So they charged me $1064 for 1 hour of Labor. GCHS could not explain this amount. I was in Colorado and could not see the invoice until after I paid. I only used this company because my house watcher told me to contact them. CAUTION - Don't use companies that don't itemize an invoice. The current company I use is very honest. I though most companies were, but apparently not.I hope this saves someone else from a similar experience.
Tyler and Jesus were here to perform my semi-annual inspection and tune up for Furnace and Air Conditioner and did a great job. They let me know when they would arrive, they arrived on time, and they were quick and informative. They showed me pictures of the important details including test equipment readings. We initially chose Grand Canyon Home Services because they were willing to do the semi-annual work on my new build home (many of the heat & a/c companies refused because the unit wasn't old enough), we stay with them because the technicians (like Tyler and Jesus) are honest and knowledgeable.
Mike came out to service our HVAC unit and did a wonderful job. He was efficient, transparent, and honest. I highly recommend him. We need this company to come back in a couple of months to service the AC and I will ask for him again.
Today, I had Grand Canyon Home Services perform a real estate inspection on a home I am purchasing, and I couldn’t be more impressed. Todd was thorough, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. He carefully inspected the AC unit, furnace, mini split, electrical components, and so many other aspects of the home, leaving no detail overlooked. What sets Grand Canyon Home Services apart is consistency. Every time their technicians come to my home, they do an incredible job. Professional, courteous, and extremely skilled. It’s clear they take pride in their work and genuinely care about their clients. And they’re family owned! 28 years!I wholeheartedly recommend Grand Canyon Home Services for anyone looking for top-notch home inspection or service work. They are reliable, thorough, and simply the best in the business.
