I had a great experience but this is nothing new. Ron was the same guy that advised and designed numerous HVAC projects twenty three years ago on my house. From the call with Rachel and Zack’s Diagnostics, this took less then two hours.Ron was on the scene shortly after with his advice and recommendations. In less than twenty four hours Ben and Oden had my new furnace up and running. The work was very neat and clean.Customer service, response and professionalism are second to none!In one call my worries went away and my house is warm and comfortable.Ron you did it again I couldn’t be happier. Thank you!
I had a very unique repair request for a cracked radiator at my home. I consulted another company first, and was met with rudeness and an outrageous estimate. Luckily, I then reached out to Cooney. They had Zack out the following day to take a look. He was really friendly and open minded to different solutions. Within another hour, Ron was at my home to create an estimate. The highlight of this entire experience was meeting with Ron. He was very friendly and understanding of my financial situation. Within just a few minutes we had agreed upon a plan of attack, and set up the repair for two days from then. Two days go by, and Seth and crew arrived at 8:00 am sharp. They worked quickly, carefully, and thoroughly. They were very friendly and courteous. They made sure every part of my boiler system and radiators were working before they left. I can’t say enough about how great of an experience I had with Cooney from start to finish. Home emergencies are going to happen - you want people like the team at Cooney on your side.
We had a great experience with our furnace installation from start to finish. This is a big purchase, and honestly, we did not think the pricing was going to work for us, but they worked with us and made it happen. That alone meant a lot.Once everything was set, they came out the very next week for installation. The job was expected to take longer, but they got about 90 percent of it done in one day and had everything completed quickly and efficiently.Rhonda was absolutely amazing. She was realistic, honest, and had a great personality. She took the time to explain everything about the furnace and provided education we did not have prior. There was no pressure, just clear and helpful information. The two guys who came out for the installation did an awesome job. They were professional, respectful, and clearly knew what they were doing.Overall, we are extremely happy with the service and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for honest people and quality work.
Great experience with Cooney—what a fantastic business model! They put customers first. Rhonda was wonderful—kind, informative, and a pleasure to work with. All of my questions were answered and concerns addressed promptly and patiently. I felt no pressure, was never rushed, and experienced no gimmicks or sales tactics, nor was I ambushed like another company tried to do. The technicians were friendly, knowledgeable, and highly professional. They installed a new furnace and AC, and the entire process was smooth and quick from start to finish. Customer service was excellent, and their pricing was significantly lower than competitors offering comparable systems. Everything is working perfectly. If you are looking for excellent quality service, superb customer care, and affordable and reasonable pricing, Cooney won’t let you down. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of service, maintenance, or a new HVAC system.
November 10,2025Once again if I could give more than 5 stars to Kalie R. and Todd C. I definitely would. Kalie continually goes above and beyond providing support...assistance...and knowledge. Kalie makes certain that any and all issues and concerns are noted and have been successfully addressed. Kalie R. was paramount with guiding me through the NYSERDA/EMPOWER+ enrollment process as well as making certain that there were minimal "glitches" (if any). She made sure that I was pleased with the ENTIRE audit and completed work results. Due to Kalie's professional knowledge...consideration and thoughtfulness....as well as the expertise of all the John Betlem/Mapstone/Fisk Electric/Cooney Techs that have done work at my residence...I have joined the annual maintenance "Cool Club" program. THANK YOU KALIE.Todd C. was the tech from Cooney/John Betlem. I had been having water/condensation coming from my furnace. I found this issue four days ago and have had to turn off the furnace as water was dripping onto the furnace fan motor as well as electrical connections. I could not use the thermostat to constantly keep the furnace engaged due to this water issue. Every time I used the furnace I had to open the furnace and physically remove the water before any damage was done. This meant running the furnace twice per day...morning and evening....when the temperature in the house went below 62 degrees. Todd diagnosed the problem areas and recommended ordering the necessary repair parts. Apparently, the company (NOT John Betlem/Cooney/Mapstone) that I purchased my furnace from did not install all areas correctly....which led to the current furnace water problem. Unfortunately...the parts would not be received for repair for at least ONE WEEK. Without the parts...Todd very easily could have left without doing anything to remedy the current furnace situation. Thankfully, he did no such thing. In Todd's words "I don't want to leave you in this situation. Let me see what I can do." With that Todd worked on the problematic areas using his professional knowledge....expertise....years of experience....and creativity. It has been a few hours since Todd worked on the furnace....there is NO water coming from any part of the furnace! Even though THE"Todd Special" has proven successful....I recognize that the repair parts recommended by Todd is the absolute correct and best way to go. The parts are on order and I am hoping that Todd C. will be returning to install them. THANK YOU TODD....another GREAT Cooney/John Betlem Tech.Photos of THE Todd Special
