I wanted to have my Air Conditioning System checked out with a Tune Up. I was also having an issue with a musty odor coming from my vents.My technician Miguel from Cloud Comfort arrived on time. He said he needed to check out the system to see where the problem is coming from. He found water backing up in the drip pan. He decided to change the P Trap. I could still smell the musty odor. The tech told me I should run my Air Conditioner a few days and the odor would clear up. I ran my Air Conditioner about 45 minutes one day the next day 30 minutes, the next day 30 minutes then 15 minutes. Each day I ran the AC the odor was getting less and less and finally disappeared.He finished the Tune Up by checking the pressures at the Air Compressor took some pictures. Pressures were good and my AC Compressor didn't need the coils cleaned. I had my whole AC system and ducts changed my Cloud Comfort 2 years ago. The outside of the Compressor had dust on it which the tech cleaned.When booking my appointment I had the package where my AC system will be checked out the heater side in about 5 months. The price for the package is cheaper than separate service calls.The tech was very professional and explained everything to me. I five 5 stars.I enclosed a picture with the top showing the new P Trap changed out.
Schuyler, was an excellent technician. Showed up on time, communication was stellar and provided diagnostic that the other companies technician did not. He saved me $700, by properly identifying the issues with my a/c-heating unit. I highly recommend Cloud Comfort.
I booked an appointment through the phone since the website booking did not work for some reason. The technician that came to help me was Schuyler Wood, also go by Sky. Sky is a very energetic guy and works incredibly fast!My AC unit is split system half in an apartment unit and half on a 4 story roof with no marking along with 40 other units. He was able to find which compressor system belonged to my unit by doing continuity tests. There was a lot of running back and forth between the roof and in unit testing the refrigerant, motors, and wiring.After 2 hours total, he diagnosed the issue causing the failure of the motor and which electronics were damaged. Sky was very knowledgeable and explained HVAC theory and was able to give me several options to choose for the repair or replacement. He did a good job locating the system, identifying the problem, and providing solutions.
