Called for an estimate on a replacement for my HVAC. The guy was super nice at first but after he gave me the different estimates I told him I wasn’t going to be deciding today as I needed to think it over. He kept trying to push me into going through with it. I kept telling him I wasn’t going to make any decisions and he kept pushing more. Lower prices, throwing in things for free. But again I said I wasn’t deciding today. He was seeming to get upset with me. After 20 minutes of me telling him I’m not making a decision. He leaves his table with me tells me to go over in private with my husband about the options and went outside to his truck. We took his table back out to him and he continued to be pushy for another 10-15 minutes in the cold. Saying it doesn’t matter if I wait 2 hours, 2 days, or 2 weeks I still was going to come to the same conclusion that the hvac needed to be replaced. He made me feel like he was not going to leave my home until I agreed for them to replace it. I have never felt more uncomfortable.

My tech Griffin came and looked over our system due to thermostat reading "heat pump requires service", he was very thorough and clearly explained every step and reasoning for each thing he did as well as the system itself. Very friendly and respectful guy. Left our home as clean as he found it. Would be happy to have him come service our HVAC in the future.

I would not recommend Call Dad. This is disappointing to me, as I had used them for minor issues before/the installation of my unit and appreciated how nice the technicians were. But after this summer, I do not feel like I can trust them.

Multiple technicians came out 6-8 times to fix my unit, each time spending multiple hours with no success--one appointment was at least 8 hours long. While they did get the AC to work after replacing several parts, I asked for more explanation on the problem, and was never given one. A few weeks later, the unit stopped working again. I called Call Dad, and they didn't seem bothered by this or apologetic. Now, I am thankful for this because it pushed me to consider calling new companies out.

I called two new companies to get a quote. Both of them reported that the installation of the new parts was horrific and that the unit had been "butchered." When the reversing valve was replaced, the Teflon slide had been overheated and melted, stopping the shift piston from sliding back and forth from heat to cool.

The most alarming part is that they both confirmed that the high-pressure and low-pressure switches had been removed in the repair--which would be the safety to shut the unit down in this scenario. I learned that this means the unit may have caught fire or exploded, and they were surprised it hadn't yet, as the compressor had gotten so hot the tag had started to melt off. There were more issues found, but this one particularly concerned me and ultimately led me to leave a review.

Now, I am spending so much money to get my unit working properly AND safely. I am giving them two stars simply because I do feel like the technicians are nice. However, I do not trust them anymore.

Call Dad came out on a Saturday at no charge to diagnose our problem. We received a nice text introducing our technician with a sweet biography about his time of employment and family. I really liked the personal touch. We had been quoted $3000 by another company and charged $200 for the service call. Call Dad did not charge us for coming out and we got most of the repair done same day. We needed a part which was ordered and installed 4 days later. We were given a discount and were thrilled by the price.
We are having other work done and will need an A/C guy again. We will definitely be calling Call Dad.

Anton Olshall was outstanding. He was super courteous and knowledgeable. It did not take him long to problem-solve our heating/air unit's issue. He also offered us a great opportnity with signing up for the maintenance. I would love for him to be our service maintenance guy. Also, your company is awesome too!!!
