I highly recommend Service First Landscapes. They turned my dull backyard into a stunning space with paver walkways, retaining walls, steps, and beautiful planting areas. Jay chose a fantastic variety of plants that provide year-round color, and his crew worked tirelessly to finish the job despite bad weather. They also improved the drainage and upgraded the irrigation system. This is my second time using Service First Landscapes—back in 2011, they replaced the builder’s minimal landscaping in my front yard with a professional design.
We had a great experience with Jay and his team. After getting 3 quotes to take care of longterm side yard/hill drainage issues, we decided to use First Service Landscape. The owner, Jay, is professional and a very good communicator. We appreciated his extremely detailed estimate and found his quote to be very reasonable. Everything went smoothly and we love our new stone steps and landscaping going to our backyard. We ended up asking them to add lighting at the end of the project, which makes it all even better. We highly recommend using this company!
Jay and his team completely redid my landscaping this past spring. Not being a person with a good eye for this type of thing (nor someone who knows his plants), I was a little hesitant to make the investment as I was worried I may not like the finished product. Jay also had proposed redoing more than I originally had in mind. However, I could not have been happier with the result. Jay’s team went above and beyond, providing me with a beautiful landscape that was more than I could have hoped for. I am glad I had Jay redo it all, besides leaving my palm tree, so that it could be a consistent vision. Jay also knows his plants and only plants what will grow well in this area (and factors in the sunlight each part of your house gets). He only planted deer resistant plants for me, which is a big deal because I used to get deer eating my plants every night.A few months later, so far everything except one plant (lemon ball sedum) is growing well. The sedum may have gotten too much rain recently. When I let Jay know about it, he gave me tips to improve its health and said that he will happily replace it under warranty if it doesn’t get healthier soon.I give Jay the highest rating possible and highly recommend to anyone looking for new plants/landscaping.
Jay impressed us from the beginning with his incredibly detailed quote and willingness to explain it all.
