We did a major backyard landscaping project with Native Edge at our house in south Boulder -- they were great to work with. For the high-quality professional service they provide, the price was worth it. You have to start the process with them pretty far in advance -- we talked with them in late summer 2025 and got our landscaping done in early summer 2026.

I talked with a few other landscaping companies and they were full of bad ideas (cutting down trees that didn't need cutting, suggesting bad layouts). In contrast, Native Edge listened to what I wanted, but still pushed back when appropriate (encouraging me not to put grass in an area where it wouldn't grow properly). Native Edge had the clever idea of raising the elevation of my whole back yard a few inches, which turned out really well, and was needed given the slope of my yard and all the exposed roots. I appreciated their proactiveness in working with my deck contractor before the landscaping started to put down a stone slab to act as a landing for the deck steps, so the steps would stop at the new elevation.

If I had to say anything critical, it would be that sometimes things don't happen when they're planned to. But everything eventually gets done, and they really do care about quality, and getting the final product right.

Native Edge has designed and landscaped two projects for us. Both of them have been beautifully designed and executed. Their team of designers, managers and installers listened to our wishes, crafted designs with options and were willing to pivot when we asked. Since then we have added ongoing services such as fertilization, weed control, compost tea treatments and sprinkler care. Their team consistently communicates with us and they always respond quickly when we reach out.

I had Native Edge perform some pre-listing landscaping work for an upcoming listing. They knocked it out of the park. Their expertise, advice and quality of work was outstanding. The value was incredible too, given the ROI will far outweigh the expenditure. I highly recommend Native Edge for this type of work. Five stars wasn't enough stars!

When my husband and I purchased our home in Boulder about a year ago, we knew a serious landscaping job and rehabilitation of our pond bank was necessary.

Edee and his crew members did back-breaking work moving boulders and stone to repair the pond bank; they took the time to carefully underground nearby downspouts on the house; they hand chiseled flagstone steppers to add a natural look; and, they did it all as promised and to perfection.

We hired Native Edge to give our backyard a major overhaul and they did not disappoint. They were recommended by our realtor. Full disclosure we did not "shop around." After our first meeting with Adrian and Ben we felt like these were the guys for the job. We met with Adrian and Ben several times before the project began to discuss budget and what we wanted from the space. They were also really great about working within the confines of our HOA guidelines. Adrian and Ben were able to come up with a fabulous design with attractive materials that were still budget friendly for us. We knew we didn't want just a slab of concrete surrounded by some bushes. They brought in great elements like natural boulders, beautiful carpentry, stone veneer to match our existing stone and a lighting scheme. I felt the whole process was very collaborative. Ben was very responsive to all my questions and concerns throughout. Cary, the onsite project manager, was great. So was his crew. They were very respectful to our property and neighborhood while they were working. The site was always tidy after each day and they made sure it was still safe for our dogs to use the yard when needed. The only real hiccups we experienced were delays with certain materials due to COVID. But I always feel you need to expect delays with any construction project. All in all we had a positive experience and are looking forward to using their services again in the future to plant more trees and shrubs on our property. Thank you Native Edge!
