Sam is an absolutely outstanding gentleman and business owner. Our neighbor was having their new home lawn put in today and our backyard looked horrible from a different landscaping company that put our lawn in this spring. I jokingly asked his workers if they could fix our horrible looking yard while they were at it, and was told I had to "ask the boss". Without asking, about 15 minutes later Sam's guys were in our backyard putting dirt, seed, and straw on our lawn as well. I was amazed that Calanni's Landscaping team would take such care of a customer who hadn't used his service in the beginning. But he did! If you are in the Emerald Woods Development in Columbia Station, call Calanni Landscaping. Sam is wonderful and his team cared enough to ask him about fixing our lawn as well. We are now hoping our back yard looks like what we expected from the other guy.

We built a brand new house when we moved to Ohio. We met with over 9 landscapers, and what made us choose Sam Calanni to do our landscaping was a few factors.

For one, Sam is the owner of the company. He was on site for every second of our landscaping project, and I am glad that he was because he was giving directions and orders to the team the entire time and everything got done efficiently.

Another thing that set Sam apart is that when he showed up he hand drew on the spot the design in front of us, while asking questions and getting input from us. He brought with him a giant book of pictures, which I thought brought a lot of charm to the process. It is clear immediately how much pride he takes in his work.

We let Calanni do our whole landscaping project include: grass, plants, trees, flow beds, irrigation, and lightning. It was so nice having one company do everything and only needing to worry about one point of contact.

One final thing that really impressed me is all of the fantastic service after the job is over. Sam would text me a few days after, “Hot week coming up, don’t forget to water x amount of times”, or random check in’s to see how things were going. This shows that he actually cares about his work and wants what is best for his customers. Every time I have reached out to him I have heard back within minutes which is pretty remarkable.

If you are considering Calanni for your landscaping project, I highly recommend them and I can guarantee you will not be disappointed with the job that Sam and his team do!

We hired Calanni Landscaping last year after we built our home. They listened to what we wanted and provided us a competitive bid. We put in a new lawn, front landscaping, a retaining wall, and also steps to create a walkway from our driveway to the back yard deck. I can't say enough about the great work these folks provided. Excellent. From initial consultation and design with Joe all the way through to working with Sam and Joe and the crew during installation, this was an excellent experience. Calanni Landscaping takes pride in their work and the attention to detail in our patio is testimony to that. The landscaping around our patio was done with mature trees and plants - and everything is thriving even in the extreme heat and dry weather we've had this summer. Communication is very important to me, and Joe and Sam were both excellent throughout the entire process. We made some last minute design changes and they were very accommodating to understand the changes we wanted and make recommendations on how to handle them within our budget. I would highly recommend Calanni Landscaping to anybody looking to do brand new landscaping, redesign, hardscapes, etc.
