I hired Sal’s Landscaping to install my new yard, a patio, a retaining wall, and numerous plants. Total cost was $41k. One thing to be aware of is that communication with the company is not great. For each step of the project, I received a 30-minute notification that workers were on their way. I have two neighbors who were not home the day this company did their retaining wall installations. When they returned home, they saw that their vision did not match the final products. I wanted to be sure I was available to avoid the same fate. Similarly, on the day the plants were installed, a truck arrived full of plants I did not request. I had worked with the company’s landscape designer and chosen very specific shrubs and perennials. After I explained to Sal that his crew brought the wrong items, he told me he wasn’t going to have his guys drive all over town picking out what I wanted. I then asked why I bothered working with his designer if my choices were not going to be used. Eventually, he found the correct list of plants and had them sent out. However, had I not been home, I would have had the wrong items planted in my flower beds. Additionally, I have left numerous messages because most of my shrubs were planted improperly. Rather than plant them in topsoil, the team chose to put two inches of soil around the bottom of each root ball and then add six inches of mulch to cover the rest of it. A couple of the shrubs did not look all that healthy when installed and now look even worse. Before I paid them, I was told someone would be out to fix the problem. However, now that the check has been cashed, I believe my calls are being screened. Regardless of what time I call, no one picks up the phone and my voicemails are not being returned. It appears I will have to fix the problem myself despite having paid a pretty penny to get this work done “professionally”. Very disappointing and not worth the hassle. I wish I had hired someone else.

Sal’s did an exceptional job with helping my husband and I design our landscaping and hardscaping for our new build. Their crews’ expertise and ability are outstanding; our yard turned out better than we could have imagined, from the plant selection, light features, and architectural design. So thankful for their quality work. Recommend them 10 times out of 10!

From start to the finish of my backyard project they truly showed professionalism throughout the design of the patio, the concrete stamping process, and ingenious landscaping plan. The design was great, the execution was impeccable, and the people are the best! Sal was very accessible and took a personal interest addressing any questions or concerns we initially had. The crews were professional, polite and proficient at each stage of the job as well as clean ups. We really could not say enough good things about people who worked on this project. The service and work were unmatched with exceptional quality. Most importantly, Sal’s Landscaping proved their mastery ability of creating a miraculous patio, a great-looking backyard that we enjoy tremendously and are happy to show to neighbors and our colleagues. Sal's Landscaping & Construction Company is an outstanding company. Sal's team landscaped and put in our lawn, trees and shrubs, and installed pavers to construct our beautiful walkway and patio to our newly constructed home. Sal is fantastic at providing the customer exactly what they are looking for and is excellent with helping with ideas . He made sure that he provided us with exactly trees and shrubs that we wanted. Sal's work crew is exceptional. They work very hard from early morning until after dark; they are dedicated, very professional, skilled, and customer oriented. We are very happy and pleased we had Sal and his team perform the work we wanted done. We couldn't be any happier.

I hired Sal’s Landscaping to build a 50-foot retaining wall on the edge of a ravine and replace the walkway to my shed. Sal had the best design ideas out of everyone I spoke with, and his vision really brought the project together. Despite weather delays this summer, the work was absolutely worth the wait. My expectations were not only met but exceeded—the quality and craftsmanship are outstanding. Highly recommend Sal and his team!

Sal's Landscaping is the absolute best. The retaining wall they put up for us a couple years ago blew me away... so far past my expectations. They put it up fast and did all the landscaping to make it beyond fabulous. They also leveled and landscaped our front yard including river rock, mulch and bushes. The grass grew in quickly and we were ready to show it all off that summer! We realized a couple years later we should add another section of wall on the far side of our property. You better believe we called Sal back! Once again, he did a fantastic job. The pictures of his work do not even do it justice... looks even better in person.
