Total Maintenance did an amazing job on our landscape design and installation. The team was professional, detail-oriented, and easy to work with from start to finish. The final result looks incredible and completely elevated the space. Highly recommend them for quality landscape work.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR LAWN MAINTENANCESummary:1. They make you pay in advance (about 3 weeks early for me)2. Since you pay in advance there is no accountability3. They refuse to tell you when they will come or even after they have come, it’s just a guessing game4. The second (and last) service I had with them was not done well. When I asked for it to be fixed I was lied to for 3 weeks before eventually being told they will only come back to correct if I paid another 167% of the normal feeMy experience:For starters, my neighborhood has an HOA that handles most landscaping (high hedges in the backyard and all grass). The front yard plants, hedge and small trees is all I needed completed by this company. We only contracted every 60 days because of this. At the start, there was an invasive flower growing in the bed of plants in the front yard that should not have been there. The owner (Sal) said it would be removed and it was. No issues.Come the time for the 2nd service I notice that flower had grown back in the exact same place, so it must not have been fully removed. No problem, I text Sal on September 19th with a pictureAsking if they can remove it and what day they will be coming (it’s not possible to get an exact answer from them so it’s just estimates). Sal’s exact response to me also on September 19th“It looks like the service will be next Friday. The weather has been brutal for us and we are just about to catch up”Since they don’t tell you after they come, my cue was going to be seeing that flower removed. Next Friday came and went but that flower was still there. My guess is someone came sometime that week but at minimum forgot the flower. I also found weeds that Friday that were missed that I went and picked myself. Being how everyone makes mistakes, I texted Sal to let him know I think someone might have come but the flower was still there. I kindly requested that the next time his team was in the area, they remove the flower. I spoke with Sal on the phone and was told no problem. I understand people make mistakes and had no problem letting it be corrected. This is where the lies start. Once a week for the next 3 weeks I keep being told it will be “next week”. On October 3rd he even said his guys were on their way to my house in the morning. When nobody showed up that day he said he must have confused me with someone else. Finally on October 15th I ask to confirm if someone will be by within the next two days as Sal had once again told me someone would be out that week. This time, he instead said they will only come if I pay 167% of my normal rate for a special service. Sal now claims that this is not part of my service and he won’t do it.Now, I am angry. I have been lied to and lead on for almost a month. I am not one to leave negative reviews on businesses but this company definitely deserves it from all the deceit and lies.To avoid any possible push back or excuse Sal may respond with, we did ask if when they removed the flower they could just take out a couple very small adjacent tiny plants that had been dead for over 2 months (prior to the 2nd service). As these plants are tiny and would only take about a minute or two, I did not think this would be an issue. And frankly I would have assumed removal of 100% dead plants (tiny ones) would be included in the service. I guess Sal disagrees with that assumption. But this frankly starts with the invasive flower that was expressly spoken about and agreed upon anyways.(If you made it this far, go check out all of the other 1 star reviews. My experience is not uncommon. I wish I had seen those reviews from the jump)
We needed to remove bushes that burned on the sun plus add some rocks, mulch, new bushes, flowers and palms. Sal knows nature, what works were and a good listener about our preferences and what can work in what spot with his knowledges. Work was done fast and good communication process- he is fast - from first call to work done in 3 weeks - it’s amazing in my opinion and very flexible in price range and needs! Big thank you and your team! Everything was done accurately and they clean up after job was done! Also, gave us a water recommendation s with new plants! Very important!
We had a drainage problem in our new home in Delray and had a couple of companies come out to give us some ideas on how to handle it. Both had overly complex and expensive solutions so we kept searching until we found Sal from Total Maintenance Landscaping. Sal’s knowledge and expertise was easy to see from the initial discussion and he quickly developed a plan that was simple and cost-effective. After heavy rains this past week, it was clear his solution worked just like he said it would. His team was prompt, courteous, and finished in a single day!We are so happy with the work that we are now having them come back to replace our irrigation system and re-sod the entire yard. Finding a company that can develop a plan and execute it with precision is rare these days.
Our next door neighbor referred us to Total Maintenance Landscape Lyons Nursery after finding poisonous mushrooms on our palms. Their knowledge & suggestions on what to plant vs what to avoid proved their dedication to their clients. They helped plan out a new 5x20 landscape island, removed 2 Large Areca stumps, laid sod , planted 3 large palms & grasses. Employees were informed and provided exceptionally clean work. Price so was amazing mixed with their knowledge/ communication that I didn’t even feel the need to price shop. Hands down 5 stars we will use them again and have already referred them to friends and family.
