I submitted a quote request online, but the email went to the company's spam folder. It was eventually traced, and I was contacted to schedule an appointment at my home to take measurements for the quote. The appointment was for 7:30 a.m. (I didn't tell them I'd have to leave at 8:00 a.m.). At 7:40 a.m., the person contacted me to say they would be 10 minutes late, so I waited until 8:00 a.m., and they still hadn't arrived. I called them, explaining I had to leave for work, and they said they were lost. I left the plans in the mailbox and told them to call me if they had any questions.I never heard back from them. I sent a follow-up email to ask if they were still interested in submitting a quote for my project, but I never received a reply.That's not very professional.When you anticipate being late, you notify the person before the scheduled meeting time.You make sure you have the correct destination address.If you're no longer interested in the project, you inform the person.It's the least you can do.
