A Durham destination for healthy plants, expert guidance, and thoughtfully designed landscape projects.
Landscaping and garden projects including: yard cleanups, weeding, mulching, plant bed prep, native and pollinator garden setups, soil amending, sod/grass replacement prep, metal/landscape edging, hardscaping elements, pathway and walkway extensions, dry creek/rock beds, small retaining features, and rain barrel installs.
Grow It Yourself helped us with hardscaping, weeding, and mulching our yard. We have been trying to keep up with our yard ourselves and had fallen behind - Grow It Yourself came in, worked hard for three days, and has our yard in PRISTINE condition. They are reasonably priced, kind, responsive, and hard working. Noam checked in with us constantly to make sure everything was going well. And Maria was so kind with both of our dogs that loved to come and say hello. I am so grateful for the service they provided.
From start to finish, the team was quick, polite, and knowledgeable. For years we struggled with monkey grass that just wouldn’t quit — they cleared it out completely and replaced our front yard grass it with rich, fertile soil prepped for native flowers and pollinator-friendly plants. They also installed metal edging to make it harder for grass to creep back in.One of our favorite upgrades was how they extended our walkway to give us more space to walk from our porch to the sidewalk. It’s a subtle change that makes a big difference in our daily use of the space. They also gave us thoughtful recommendations for native perennials to plant (including some great pollinator options), and what really stood out was that they kept supporting us even after the work was done — sharing ideas and tips to help us keep building on the project.Would absolutely recommend working with Grow It Yourself if you’re looking for a team that blends skill, speed, and a love for sustainable landscaping.
Grow It Yourself did a fantastic job with our front yard. Noam came out twice because we changed our front yard plans after some more thought of the look we were going for - pollinator garden with a dry rock bed as well as a rain barrel install. Noam’s knowledge and experience in the business are absolutely top-notch. He is incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with every detail. Maria was amazing — she took the time to carefully choose our plants to get what we wanted. Highly recommend this team if you’re looking for quality, thoughtful service, and a crew that truly goes the extra mile! ??
Grow It Yourself has done a few projects in our yard: clearing and cleaning up overgrown areas, installing a dry bed, cleaning up after silt washed into our yard from the storms, and adding retaining walls.I appreciated that the team was so communicative; they told me what they were going to do and when and followed through. We are so happy with the results! We've already had a few neighbors stop us to tell us how good the front bed looks. (They're probably happy they don't have to look at our overgrown bed anymore ;) -- see before and afters.). Thank you!
I contacted Noam because I just didn’t have the time to do the work myself. I have landscaped my entire front and backyard myself, planting well over 100 shrubs and trees. I have priced plants and materials from a range of nurseries across the triangle. It took a lot for me to give up doing the work myself but I don’t regret it at all.Noam’s team did great work. I estimated the work myself using retail pricing of edging material, plants, soil amendments, and mulch and was within $100 of his estimate. The materials are all at retail price and not wholesale but the estimate is extremely reasonable and the workmanship and knowledge is top notch. I would not hesitate to call him back for additional work. They were friendly, efficient, and easy to work with. Well done!
