Lucky Lawn sold out to Tru Green. If you value your lawn, you might want to reconsider and find someone else. I used Lucky Lawn for several years and my yard looked great. But as soon as they sold out… my yard went to trash. I swapped from Tru Green to Lucky Lawn because of this problem. It only took one season for weeds to take over and brown patch to consume my yard.
Beware of this company. Absolute false charging of hours worked. I used them to repair my irrigation system. Although I do not have any problem with the quality of the work they performed, I do have a problem with their billing. When I first called them to ask for an estimate was told they would not be able to provide an estimate only do the work because in figuring out what was wrong with the system they would be doing work towards fixing it. I understand that. I was told they charge $75 per hour on the job plus materials. I was ok with that. It took some time to get out to me but eventually they came out. They came out late afternoon on a Friday. I showed them the problem and provided pictures of the system when it was being installed. They spent no more than 30 minutes in my yard. I asked if they could tell me about how much I should expect it to cost. I was told that it really depends on how long it takes and how much damage the system had (I understand that too) and told it should be less that $500. They said they would return next week to do the work. It was more than two weeks and several calls before I was able to get them to come back and do the work. They arrived at 8:00AM and were gone by 10:30AM. I received a bill for $477. The bill only said labor and materials. I called for a better itemized breakdown and was informed the person that handled that was out but he would call me back. After two weeks and another call I did get a call back. I asked for the material cost and how many hours I was billed for. He said they charged 4.5 hours and a hundred something for materials. I told him that was not correct and that they were here no more than 3 hours. Here is the kicker folks. He said they charge for the drive to and from my house!! That was the additional 1.5 hours!! He said I should be happy that they came in under the max they said it might be!! Seriously. I told him I was going to spread this as widely as I possibly could and he did not seem to care. Please see if you can find someone else to do your work for you other than Lucky Lawn.
I called early spring to add new zones to the irrigation system that Lucky Lawn originally installed. Was told they were backed up and it would be a couple months. After a couple months I called again, they sent 2 in experienced men who told me they don’t add on or extend zones but can adjust and check for breaks. They then severed my fiber optic cable, charged me a lump sum $100 to relocate one mister and left. I reluctantly paid, and called again, left message and no return call. It’s now been over 6 months, Summer is almost over and still nothing.I guess I’ll be learning how to install irrigation and maintenance. Thanks for the false promises and being left hanging. RUDE!!!!
