Plant sales (trees, shrubs, perennials, seasonal annuals), soil amendments and mulch, basic landscape installation support, sod and planting projects, and seasonal farm-style activities.
Reviews commonly mention friendly, knowledgeable staff and a pleasant, family-style atmosphere, especially during seasonal events like pumpkin patch visits. Several customers note returning for both small plant purchases and larger yard projects. There is at least one critical review citing concerns about workmanship on a sod and planting job. Overall ratings trend positive, with service and selection frequently praised.
Always friendly, knowledgeable, helpful. I have done bigger projects with Tilleraas as well as picking up trees, plants, supplemental products and have always been treated well and love coming back-time and again
I am writing this review of Tilleraas Landscape and Nursery for my grandfather John Marinaccio. He worked with them a little over a year ago. I have attached photos showcasing what he is talking about. This is his experience:Last October (2024) I engaged Tilleraas Landscape and Nursery to lay new sod in my front and back yard, lay bark under my trees, and plant some perennials. Having dealt with the results of their workmanship (or lack there of), I havefinally decided to submit a review.First, although an estimated project was submitted, at no time did Tilleraas sit down with me to explain exactly what they would be doing. Nor did they seek my input, let alone approval. Instead, Tilleraas plowed ahead, and when I questioned or objected I was met with 'Didn't you read the proposal?'. As if it were completely self explanatory. I requested an itemized bill, and it was never sent. All I have to show for their work was an estimate of$10,000 and a final bill of $11,750. $1,750 over estimate with no itemized bill...Second, when they prepared the soil for the sod, it doesn't seem to have been properly leveled or adequately tilled, especially in the back. In some places the sod is very hard and doesn't seem to be thriving. There are even sections where the sod is notjoining end-to-end causing gaps and revealing the soil. Further, when the bark was placed around my conifers they never decided to place a barrier separating it from the sod. This has caused the bark to easily be spread into the sod. WhenI asked to put a barrier in I was told it would damage the roots of the trees. This is absolutely false. A simple barrier would not damage tree roots, and would have saved me a major head ache, and prevented an eye sore.Third, all the perennials were cut back, even those still thriving. They failed to level the flower beds and opted to instead put 3, 4, and even 5 inches of bark in the beds to level them that way. With this lazy leveling some of the perennials were burried. As a result many perennials did not survive or thrive. 5 Peonies were lost including an itoh, day-lilies (stella d'oro) did not bloom, day-lilies (tiger lily) poorly preformed, phlox barley broke ground, a handful of Asiatic lilies survived but only a few bloomed and there were others that barley survived as well. My Siberian iris, spider-wort and lupine. For the past several months I have been working on removing the excess bark, rejuvenating the plants that survived, and replacing those that did not.And there is more: broken pots, trellises here and there, pavers and cinder blocks scattered throughout my yards. When all is said and done Tilleraas's workmanship is slip-shod and half-assed. They do not seem to take any pride in their work, customer service and customer satisfaction. The last communication I had with Tilleraas is as follows:'Melissa has done enough replanting for you. If you have any more landscaping needs, she suggests you go elsewhere.'Well isn't that a no brainier... Caveat Emptor!John MarinaccioPlease note: In no way do I fault the workers. They are as good as the directions given to them, and the expectations made of them. The above is my grandfathers experience. Thank you for taking the time to read this review.
Got a Lil tractor hay ride out to the patch, took some pics, picked some pumpkins, Lil ride back, bought some snack and really hot cider. Just some nice wholesome fun. Everyone was nice and prices were good. Will be back for sure .
I took my son for his first pumpkin patch experience and they were so nice to us! Great prices, tons of pumpkins/gourds/squash to choose from, fun maze, cute sweets for the kids, and an overall great experience!
So we took the boys to the pumpkin patch. We had an awesome time. They gave us a tractor ride out to the patch and made a little maze with hay bales. You get to choose your own pumpkin and get to ride back on the tractor. It was a great experience for our first time. On a side note their nursery was pretty good and the staff was very knowledgeable and friendly!
