Reviews

What customers say

Customers describe a design process that listened to their preferences and included options or revisions. One homeowner praises the crew’s careful placement of a roughly 900-pound birdbath boulder, while a different customer says LID made special trips to keep an irrigation system running reliably. Another homeowner reports returning from a six-month absence to a dead lawn despite continued payments for mowing, lawn maintenance and sprinkler management; the reviewer says LID attributed the loss to fungus and sought payment for new sod, while three other lawn services blamed improper watering.

We used LID for over 2 years before firing them. They were ok at the beginning until we left for six months. We continued to pay them $1,100 to mow and maintain the lawn and manage the sprinkler system. We returned to a dead lawn. They claimed it was a fungus and wanted us to pay them $14,000 to put in new sod. Three other professional lawn services have told us that the grass died, because it wasn't being properly watered.

I have used LID Landscapes to set up and maintain my irrigation system for the past four years. Their service has been consistently excellent. They can be counted on to attend to all of the details of this system from minor to major issues. When needed they have made special trips to keep the irrigation system running reliably. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Our landscape needs were specific. We needed a non-combustible barrier 5' wide around our house, we had a small area where we wanted a native flower bed and hardscape built around a birdbath boulder. Most other landscaping companies wanted to do a total yard plan with beautiful drawings and plants they selected. Our LID designer listened to what we wanted, sketched a design and was willing to work flexibly with us as adjustments seemed necessary. We are very happy with the design. The installation crew was very helpful and accommodating in positioning the birdbath boulder. The boulder weighs about 900 pounds and they worked carefully to position it so the water flows exactly where it needs to be. Our LID designer tried to accommodate our native plant desires. We went through many plant list iterations, but we are finally satisfied with the plants. Overall we are happy with the results of our project. It's a great improvement to our yard and exceed our expectations.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does LID develop a landscape proposal?

The process starts with a consultation and site assessment, followed by a review of options and costs. LID then adjusts the proposal based on feedback.

How often does LID visit for residential maintenance?

It schedules weekly site visits except during its April spring cleanup and November fall cleanup. During those months, visits are one to two times per month, depending on site needs.

Does LID offer a plant guarantee?

For residential clients covered by its plant guarantee, LID says dead plants are usually replaced without the client having to ask.

Does LID provide snow service to single-family homes?

No. It does not provide snow service to single-family homes; HOA service is considered case by case.

How does LID plan for commercial snow events?

It emails clients a forecast and deployment plan based on National Weather Service reports. A snow-scouting team goes out when snow is expected to start to guide crew deployment.
