Grizzly Bear rescued our yard from disaster! Our maple tree roots had grown into our sprinkler lines, they were able to pinpoint and fix the problem in one afternoon! So grateful.
Great work and so easy to schedule! They kept in touch, showed up about 10 mins before our apt so we weren’t waiting on them, they let us know what they were gonna do and before we know it the work was done! They even looked at a broken sprinkler for us and let us know what to expect there. Will use them for all sprinkler work needed! Also the owner was so sweet with our kiddo, very personable experience!
I paid for a sprinkler blow-out. Two men showed up. The helper forced my gate open and popped off the lock then shut it by forcing the gate to close in the wrong direction. When I told the owner he immediately blamed it on wind, maligned my fence as "rickety", and wouldn't consider replacing the $20 part. He was stubborn, cut me off, wouldn't listen, said he wouldn't part with $20 because he has a daughter in college, then told me to take him to court. It was quite frustrating.
I used Grizzly Bear for the first time I needed a dripper system blowout. Unfortunately I had an appointment this day and I was concerned they wouldn’t show up on time but for my luck they called and asked if they can come early so I was relieved that they could show up earlier. I don’t have grass only outdoor plants bushes and a few trees . The guy that came Im assuming hes the owner he was very kind and professional I for sure will use them again for any irrigation or maintenance due on my system THANK YOU GRIZZLY BEAR !!!
I never leave poor reviews. I understand how it impacts business. However, in this case, I feel it’s justified to share my experience. My experience with Grizzly Bear has been one of dismissal and incompetence.I was looking for a great irrigation company so I turned to Google. I found that this company had several good reviews and so I called them at the beginning of July to help me with areas of concern. I was experiencing rings of green in the directly surrounding areas around many sprinklers and then rings of dry grass where the water wasn’t getting past. I called and Bobby answered. I explained that we had inconsistent coverage and needed some help to diagnose and remedy the situation. He said this is what we do and that they could take care of us. I was relieved. I told him that I can walk it with him and turn on each zone with my phone since it’s a larger yard and that would save him time spent going to the clock and back. He said that’s not how they do it, so he will send 3 guys and that he would be one of them. Okay, no problem. He said we will come over and figure out what needs to be done. A little before the arrival window, a text came in which I didn’t read bc I was in a meeting. I received it right as the alternate crew had arrived to my house. I would have chosen to reschedule had I known what was coming. Apparently, Bobby was needing to go to Denver and would send a crew that he felt was capable and that he had worked with before. Not sure what that meant. Well, the crew arrives and it comprised of a Spanish-only-speaking man and an English-only-speaking young man who seemed quite new on the job. Mind you, this is by the hour that we are paying for two guys. Okay, so luckily my husband can speak a decent amount of Spanish. The guys had no clue why they were here and what they were supposed to do. So, if my husband hadn’t been here it would have taken a whole lot longer to use Google translate and get things dialed in. Then, a third guy showed up and once again didn’t speak any English. This isn’t a problem to me. The issue is that I was being charged by the hour and no way to describe the issue so obviously this was slowing the process down. He comes and is more experienced at sprinklers than the other two and begins to tweak things. Long story short, my husband and I ended up then spending two and a half hours walking it with them, turning each zone on with our phones, and helping them determine what was needed in each zone because they seemed confused as to what they needed to do. They offered very little recommendations to us and it felt like it was all trial and error. There were no cups to measure that there was adequate or consistent coverage. It was all a guess. We definitely didn’t need those three as the one was clearly learning the ropes and all he did was hand the other two tools.Well, the issue is that within a couple weeks the yard looks far worse. We had received a bill for $625. In the meantime, I texted Bobby with no response. I left a message on the main number with no response. My husband called him and finally connected with him. He dropped the price down $100 for the inconvenience and said that he’d come over to tweak them himself. Well, my husband’s father fell ill and within two weeks had passed away. We were out of town to be there for his passing on the scheduled date of the repair. He said that we could reschedule. To this date, we have texted and called multiple times with no response. So, lucky me, I have paid $525 to fix my sprinklers which aren’t fixed. What I’ve had to do in the meantime is crank up my water usage way beyond what I’ve ever needed to keep the sparsely watered area green. So, after paying for the inadequate repairs and for the additional water usage, being dismissed and avoided for months now, I can definitely say I feel it’s okay to leave a review. If you choose to use them, as I did based on the other multiple good reviews then best of luck to you. Left side is a before picture and the other photos are from afterwards.
