Needed native landscaping help which is a struggle to find. Cory came to my property with a WEALTH of knowledge. Advised me to what was native and invasive on my property. He then designed a native garden for me. Not only did he do that, he has periodically checked in on my progress since I chose to do all my own plantings. Highly recommend this young man to anyone interested in increasing biodiversity for our environment! He is passionate and excited about his work.

Southcoast Native has been our go to landscaper since moving to Barrington in 2022. We’re intentional about our yard in terms of restoring native species, maximizing its usefulness to the environment while making it an enjoyable space for us. Cory’s aligned to our vision, ready to dig in to the hard work, and competitive in terms of pricing. We’ve had Southcoast Natives in to remove invasives, plan and execute new plantings, and do routine spring cleanup. All were done well and done timely. I highly recommend them.

SouthCoast Native Landscapes is the best! Owner Cory is a total professional ... knowledgeable, experienced, honest, reliable, collaborative, transparent ... and he brings to his work a unique passion for the art and the science of sustainable landscaping. Cory designed and built a lovely rain garden of native flowering plants to manage recurring water pooling in a low-lying area of my yard. He is a pleasure to work with and I would not hesitate to recommend SouthCoast Native Landscapes to family and friends. In fact, I already have.

Frequently Asked Questions

Projects typically include native garden design, plant installations, invasive species removal, and rain gardens for drainage. Many clients also request pollinator habitats and seasonal maintenance to help new plantings establish well.

Yes. Site visits often include assessing existing plants, noting what is native, and pointing out invasive species. From there, a plan can be created for selective removal and replacement with suitable native options.

Rain gardens are a common request and can be designed to capture runoff and reduce pooling. Plant palettes are chosen for the site’s soil and moisture conditions to support both function and habitat.

The process usually starts with a walkthrough and discussion of goals, sunlight, soil, and maintenance preferences. You’ll receive a clear plan and planting approach, with communication at each step before work begins.

Seasonal maintenance and follow-up support are available to help ensure plantings take root and perform as intended. Services may include weeding, selective pruning, and adjustments based on how the garden settles in.
