We had 18 trees installed, about 6 weeks later 2 of them died . When we called Diyanna to talk about it she told us they are not guaranteed. ALL tree companies give a 1 year guarantee if they install them! We purchased 18 , I would never have done that with a company that did not give some kind of guarantee. I have called and written emails , we asked them to come out, even stopped by the office . Diyanna said that we could work something out. That was roughly 6 weeks ago…..NOTHING . We are not happy, and would not recommend them based on how we have been treated.
I originally scheduled a large tree trimming and bed cleaning/removal of poison ivy, ivy, weeds, etc. to then be mulched. The day of they discussed adding landscaping that very day since the bed would completely cleaned out. I agreed and it more than doubled my cost but I knew it needed to be done. I was happy that day during the install but noticed areas that were empty with plants, overall just an unbalanced bed and no thought put into the layout. No one asked me if I was happy with the project before trying to leave but I stopped Ruben right before he left. Ruben agreed to have Jorge come back out and I expressed my hope that thought would be put into the layout for a $$$ project. They ended up swapping out a few of my plants but did not address the area in the way I asked, just hurried and left. I called again and they told me they would be back out that week. 2 weeks later they returned and did a hurried and thoughtless job and did not tell me they were there or ask any questions. I texted Jorge and he never returned the text. I'm also certain they did not put any pre-emergent down as it's been 3 weeks and I spend 1-2 hours/week picking weeds that have sprouted up throughout the entire bed. I feel dismissed and incredibly disappointed for the amount of money we spent.
Very disappointed especially with all the great reviews. They came out much earlier in the month than we were told. A storm was moving in and I was shocked to see them. They did the job in such a hurry, they failed to remove the maple seeds before putting down the mulch and they did not properly weed. There was no pre emergent put down which I had specifically ask the guy about when he came to give an estimate. They were supposed to weed, put down pre emergent and then mulch. Very expensive for the level of service we received. It felt like they just tried to squeeze us in and did a rush job. Will not be using them again.I wanted to amend this review, I did hear back from Rangel and they offered a 15% refund and apologized for the rushed job. That means A LOT THESE DAYS!
I was extremely pleased with the professionalism of the Rangel crew. I had a small retaining wall project around a stamped concrete patio. They integrated the wall seamlessly with the yard which had a significant grade. All capstones where custom cut and securely glued down. They really paid attention to detail! The price was the lowest out of the other quotes from local contractors. I wouldn't hesitate to reach out to Rangel again for bigger jobs.
Rangel is amazing working crew. They are fast, excellent quality work, friendly team and reasonable price. We did the patio, retaining wall, fix window well retaining wall and some trees. All done in 2 days of hard work. Nice upgrade in our house. Love it.
