We sought out several experienced landscapers for our front yard landscaping project. Our house had a recent addition completed and was refaced. We had a drawing already and were particular on making it complete the look of our house.

When we first met Andrew for a quote on our driveway interlocking project, he was communicative, polite, and confident in his work. We met with a few other landscapers to quote the job. All of the landscapers, including Andrew, were experienced and well known.

We chose Andrew because of how well our first impression of him was. He showed true interest in the job and he seemed very easy to work with. This first impression carried through throughout our project; he did not let us down. Andrew is dedicated, a perfectionist, and he always wanted to make sure we were truly happy! Andrew is easy to work with and truly cares about his reputation and work. His team was very respectful during the entire project.

We recently had Andrew install a fibreglass pool for us and we can’t say enough great things about the oasis Andrew has created for us! We contacted him last fall after seeing his sign at another job in our neighbourhood. Andrew followed up with us immediately and got to know us and what our vision was for our backyard. Andrew is warm and friendly and never once tried to push anything on us. He listened to our needs and wants and was very respectful of our budget. Fast forward to this spring and now we have a beautiful pool and patio. Andrew and his crew are super friendly, very professional and respectful of our property. It was a pleasure having them around. After a few hiccups (through no fault of their own), the end result is more than we could have imagined. Andrew is a perfectionist which, as a customer, is exactly what we were looking for. After seeking out estimates from a few businesses we found ourselves connecting most authentically with the business owner of Fluidscape, Andrew. He was extremely knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and a humble family guy. It was clear from our first conversation that Andrew really knew his stuff; and I say that very lightly. We had a big project in mind that required a company with not just creativity, but also a high level experience and skill to build on a complicated terrain. When he came out to take a look at the property and provide us with an estimate we asked him so many questions, threw out a ton of ideas, and raised all the challenges we had with the existing landscape. He was patient and cognizant of our budget and any potential obstacle we may encounter (permits, terrain, functionality, etc.). His advice and ideas were super smart and practical. When we received his estimate, it was very well detailed and all encompassing.

From day one it was clear Andrew and his site partner Glenn upheld a high level of professionalism and integrity. It's been a very long time since I've worked with a business that still has that respectable old school integrity so many others are missing. Andrew was always very responsive to my texts and communicated very clearly when we made changes or discussed ideas. He is very well organized and someone I can rely on to do what he says he's going to do. Andrew and Glenn always showed up early and worked really hard regardless of how cold it got (negative temperatures in November). They also always cleaned up the end of each day and let us know the plan for the following day which I personally really appreciated. I always knew what to expect and can plan around it if needed.

Andrew and Glenn take great pride in this business and their work and that really translated throughout each step of the project. These poor guys met some unexpected challenges with the terrain and I was beyond impressed with how well they were able to overcome the setbacks. Early on we had to make a major design change that was beyond anyone's control and Andrew drove all the way to my place just to discuss the options, take new markings and measurements, and ensure we were happy with the new plans. He knew I was going to feel disappointed and he cared enough to meet in person to address the issue head on with us. It truly felt like a partnership. The bonus is that the new designed turned out to be even more functional and esthetically pleasing than the original ideas I had.

It was also clear that Andrew paid really close attention to details in all our conversations and truly understood our family's personalities, dynamics, and lifestyle. He took those details and did an amazing job of incorporating our family's style into the design while ensuring that each section, and all elements were interconnected to function and flow effortlessly.

In the end a 'rustic oasis' came to life for our family of four campers. The design takes you from a curvy dinner patio with a modern country charm, to a rustic pathway of stepping stones, boulders, rivers rocks, Japanese maples and spruce. The path splits to take you to our gazebo, or to the showstopper; a crest of armour stones enclosing a firepit with the perfect hilltop view of the horizon. Our backyard was transformed to a natural looking landscape that is everything we have ever dream of. It feels like we brought a small piece of Algonquin home. If I saw it on Pinterest or a magazine before meeting Fluidscape, I would have pinned it and said "That is EXACTLY what I want!".
