Before choosing a landscape company, make sure they use a CAD program and that the designer actually listens to what you want—not what they want to do.

Before Plano Landscape, we spent over $2,000 with two well-known DFW landscape/nursery companies. One used CAD, the other pencil drawings. Both designs were poorly conceived, didn’t reflect our ideas, and the “design” label was generous at best. In both cases, you paid hefty fees up front—like it or not.

Working with Chanc at Plano Landscape was completely different. We spent several sessions working through ideas, going back and forth, and refining CAD images until we could clearly see—and agree on—what the final product would look like. No guessing. No interpreting vague sketches.

That’s the real value here. In the past, homeowners had to trust words and drawings to imagine a finished yard, and whether that vision matched reality was often a crapshoot. With CAD, you know exactly what you’re getting before anything is dug up.

Once the plan was finalized, execution was straightforward. The crew followed the plan, we made a couple of minor plant tweaks, had one return visit to move a boulder, and the job was completed in three days.

We’ll be using Chanc and his team again to redo our backyard this summer. Plano Landscape did a good job for us, and I’m confident they’ll do the same for others.
