Patrick was recommended to me by my sister and a friend. They were very happy with his work and so I decided to hire Aquaterra Landscape to design my front yard and backyard. Patrick is very professional, easy to work with, and has a great eye for design and detail. His overall design aesthetic is modern and that was the look I was going for. He provides zoom meetings, a 3D computerized landscape design, is attentive to your questions and concerns, and meets with you regularly to make sure everything is going smoothly. I wanted a large grass area in the backyard for my dogs, lots of plants, a patio, and a fire pit with a bench. I wanted something very simple but Patrick came up with a beautiful design for both the front and backyard. He had a great idea to add decorative pots in the front and backyard and I love the look of them! Now, I get so many compliments from my neighbors regarding my front yard. I'm also very happy with how the backyard, patio, and fire pit turned out. Even after the landscaping was done if there were any issues Patrick was quick to respond and get the problems fixed immediately. He is honest, sincere, and overall a genuinely nice person to work with. He provides great customer service and cares that the work done is top notch! I would highly recommend Patrick to anyone looking to build a pool or get landscaping done.
When we moved in, our vision was simple: create a space where we could relax and spend quality time together as a family. After a long day of work, I just want to come home, hang out, and unwind with my loved ones. That’s why I asked Aquaterra Landscape to help bring our dream yard to life. From the very beginning, Patrick and his team made the process smooth. They took care of every detail, from designing the layout to coordinating with the HOA and the City in getting the necessary permits. The sunken seating area has become one of our favorite spots—perfect for gathering, talking, and enjoying meals together. And of course, the pool is a highlight, especially during the hot summer months. The water feature they designed has become a centerpiece of our home. It’s visible from the living room, and the calming sound of water brings a beautiful ambiance to the space, especially when guests come over.I highly recommend Aquaterra Landscape for anyone wanting to transform their yard into something truly special!
Aquaterra Landscape transformed my backyard into exactly what my family and I envisioned. My family uses it frequently, and every friend who visits is full of praise and takes photos to remember it. This was my first time doing a landscaping project, and I found Patrick from Aquaterra through a friend's recommendation. With an existing design in place, Patrick offered his thoughts and suggestions, such as raising outdoot kitchen deck, removing unnecessary planters, and upgrading the pool to an infinity pool. We were very satisfied with the materials Patrick recommended as well. We have most of tile from MSI and some tile from state colledge, the combination comes out great and organic.Throughout the construction process, Patrick and his team were highly efficient, and any issues that arose were promptly addressed. They also maintained cleanliness in the front and back yards, always ensuring that all waste was in the dumpster to keep the neighborhood clean. The pricing was very transparent, and we were very satisfied with the overall experience. I am more than happy to recommend Aquaterra to all my friends who might need their services, and I have already done so.
After visiting our neighbor’s landscaping we decided to look for a proposal from Aquaterra Landscape since we liked the whole design of the yard and the quality of the job. I’m so glad I decided to check them out. Patrick was incredibly flexible, easy to communicate with, and paid attention to every detail of the project and the materials used. He suggested us to use the same bricks as our house to build the front yard wall instead of the fashion trend of the LED tile wall. It really makes our house get its unique personality and be stand out from the rest of neighbors. The water fountain in the backyard has received multiple compliments from our guests… BTW, His quote was very reasonable.Overall, I highly recommend Aquaterra Landscape for their excellent work and their focus on both aesthetics and durability.
I interviewed numerous landscapers, requested designs/quotes from them, and spoke to friends/neighbors who used other landscapers, before deciding to move forward with Patrick and his team at Aquaterra Landscape. The summary is that the Aquaterra team did an incredible job with our front and backyard landscaping and we are extremely happy clients. I’ve included some details below on all aspects of our stellar experience.Design - before even starting construction, Patrick patiently went through many versions of our yard design for us, tweaking the software-aided landscape design diagrams to our liking. He has a great eye for design and the details, while still factoring in the practicality of day-to-day use and maintenance. We ended up with a modern front yard and backyard design that wows all of our guests. Our backyard features an entertainment area that includes a cantilevered steel and aluminum patio cover with recessed lighting, a large L-shaped countertop with waterfall edges done with porcelain slabs, and a porcelain tile wall with a large TV. It’s the perfect space for relaxing and entertaining, and it looks just as awesome at night with LED lighting throughout. Our front yard features a widened driveway, floating steps, a retaining wall and a walking path to our backyard, with our California/Mediterranean style plants illuminated with LED lighting.Construction/Planting - for our project, there were typically 2 workers on most days. Noe was the foreman/project leader and he was always very thorough, occasionally asking us questions about our preferences on small details. The quality and attention to detail of the construction is great. We did have a few cracks in the porcelain tile near our front door entry area, probably due to the continuing settlement of our foundation, as well as some issues with plants blowing over during some windy days, but all we had to do was make a list of issues, and Patrick would send his crew to resolve promptly.Pricing/Change Orders - Aquaterra’s pricing, which included labor and material, was very competitive and transparent. Patrick provides a complimentary software-based design (landscapers generally charge for this!) and line by line quote for you to review. The pricing isn’t going to be the cheapest or most expensive, but I think we received tremendous value based on our experience as clients. Almost every project is going to include changes/change orders, and those were done at the same material and labor rates as the original quote. At the time of our project, Patrick primarily worked with State College Distributors and 4K Aluminum for materials, and Devil Mountain Nursery for plants, all of which we were happy with. However, you can pull in materials from any other suppliers you’d like and he’ll do his best to get a contractor discount for you.Communication/Follow-up/Approvals - a lot of landscape designers do poorly in this area, but Patrick and his assistants were always very communicative, whether it be through phone, text, Zoom and when necessary, in-person. It was always communicated to us when workers would show up and when they would not (e.g., rainy days). A few minor issues have arisen since the project was completed, and all of those were resolved to our satisfaction. Lastly, Patrick and his team handle all of the required HOA and city approval paperwork. In conclusion, landscaping is a significant investment of time and financial resources. It’s important to select a landscaper that you feel comfortable working with. For us, that was Patrick and the Aquaterra team. They absolutely delivered a front and backyard that we’ll enjoy for years to come and that will add tremendous value to our home.
