I initially had some landscape done. They redid my whole front area, took the time to explain what would work and what would be bad, colors complimenting each other and the work they did was fantastic. However that's where the my praises stop. After the job was complete and payment has been fulfilled there service to help you with any aftercare goes down hill. The communication is almost none existent. If you want something done you have to keep at them to get any information.I had 1 - 2 questions that went unanswered.Overall they do very good work installing and putting things in but once job is done and paid don't expect to get any help with anything afterwards.
We wanted to create an asian garden on our new property. Emma's asian influence was spot on. She and Charlie were able to provide a design and resources that worked perfectly with the limitations of our unique landscape. The neighbors are thrilled as well.
Working with Emma to help me bring a large garden back to life has been a pleasure. The original garden was designed by Scott(original business owner) about 2007 but about 3 years ago, I knew that I needed help because I couldn't tell the difference between a weed and flowers that Scott had planted, causing the garden to look terrible. I called Hunter Springs and Scott for help in 2022 in getting garden cleaned and garden path restored. When I started working with Emma in 2023 to bring in new plants, I could tell right away that she was listening to me as to what I wanted for this garden. She made spending money to redo the garden OK because I knew that she was looking out for her clients. The plantings were put off from 2024 to this year when Emma found my plants had been affected by a frost and wouldn't accept them.Emma is a true Professional Landscape Designer!! She answered any questions that I had, came up with types of plants and colors that I wanted, helped me get rid of unwanted plants, and had an Awesome design for placement of all the plants this summer. She suggested an irrigation system when I was concerned about the summer heat. Emma has been come to my house more than once to make watering adjustments.I also want to thank Jack, Jeff, etc for their continuous help with my garden cleanups and getting my hydrangeas moved from back to front of house this past May.Emma and the guys have helped me to get my gardens to where I want them to be. I can't thank them enough!!Emma and these guys are True Assets to Hunter Springs.
October 2021: Hunter Springs transformed our back yard. They worked with us to create a landscape architectural plan that removed a dilapidated deck and fence set against a large hill, installing a limestone boulder retaining wall with an incredible set of boulder steppers leading up to a natural grass landing midway up the hill, and with perennial plantings on the hill itself surrounded by an easy-to-care-for Onondaga round stones mulch. The crew working on the project over 3-4 weeks were professional and meticulous, getting together with us to discuss small adjustments to the plan as they went along, and making our wishes real. They return next spring to install pavers for the patio on the site they've prepared (delays due to COVID caused the project to extend into next season). I don't think we will ever go with another landscape designer in CNY. HS's quality is unsurpassed.July 2022 update: With the pavers installed and the patio complete, the care shown by the Hunter Springs crew is again evident. The patio has the proper pitch, eliminating years of flooding in the backyard. The border they designed helps to clearly define the space. And the stone steps leading from the patio up the hill are even more inviting. A stunning improvement that has us spending every decent weather day dining in our back yard. Thanks HS!
The entire Hunter Springs team was a pleasure to work with. The attention to detail, professionalism and quality craftsmanship at every stage of our project made for a great experience. Throughout the entire project there was open communication and collaboration which resulted in no surprises along the way.We are looking forward to working with Springs again in future projects!Patrick & KimJamesville, NY
