James and his team awarded our nonprofit, HOPE for Bereaved, a landscaping project as a holiday giveaway in 2024. The work was completed in August 2025. They installed a 12x12 hardscaped patio, including a ramp with a customized butterfly inlay. They also spread grass seed and planted several privacy trees for us. Communicating with both James and the members of his team was always easy and timely. They answered all our questions and worked with us from the beginning to understand what would be truly helpful to the people we serve. The work was completed quickly and effortlessly, with virtually no disruption to our day-to-day business. The crew, Dave, Arlen, Rick and Greg, did a fantastic job installing my back stone staircase and reinstalling my patio. The weather was horrible, snow and rain and cold, yet they worked tirelessly.James Burt and his company are highly professional, competent, and do beautiful work. I recommend them highly.
Just a small job - walkway replacement - but the quality and attention to detail was exceptional. Arlen and Greg did a great job, digging through the worst soil they said they'd ever seen and then precisely laying the pavers. Not the best day for a picture, but it still looks great in the rain. Also want to mention that of the 5 landscapers I called for an estimate Landscapes East was the only one who replied and provided an estimate in a timely manner. Couldn't be happier/highly recommend!
Snow, rain, more rain, and even more rain, followed by brutally hot days. This is how our landscaping project started, and Landscapes East persevered through it all. We had complicated drainage issues that needed to be addressed, which, as a homeowner, concerned me. Gerry and his team handled the tricky drainage beautifully, transforming what was once an eyesore into one of the project's favorite features. Eric spent hours meticulously installing a dry-stack granite wall that adds character and a timeless aesthetic, fitting in with the age of our property. Justin meticulously planted every plant and worked with me when I wanted to expand the planting beds. I wasn’t totally onboard with the need for landscape lighting, but my husband and James thought it would add a finishing touch to the garden, and I have to say they were right. Having subtle lighting around the garden adds a great deal of drama at night. The design is very suitable for our farmhouse, updating its look without being too trendy. The entire team was courteous and respectful, and when issues arose, they were addressed thoughtfully and promptly. I hated the beds around my house. James visited and suggested a plan. He has great vision. They did a gorgeous patio for me in the spring so just said "go for it". Showed up in a week and took about 2 days and now my beds are so neat and planted with just the right things. Wish I had a "before" pic but I promise you, it was awful. So pleased. This company and it's staff are amazing to work with.
