Jake and his crew at Grounded Landscapes are the best! I couldn’t recommend them more highly! We will definitely be working together again!
Jake is a pleasure to work with. He is always responsive, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and patiently answers my many questions. Roberto and his crew are so great with the details. They asked questions when in doubt and went above and beyond to integrate my existing plants into the new installation. The gentleman who creates the hardscapes is fantastic. I love my brick barrier wall. It is exactly what I envisioned.
Jake has a gift for designing landscapes. I researched various landscapes on the internet and always came back to Grounded Landscapes. Jake’s placement of the plants created a balanced, colorful landscape with various textures and dimensions. So pretty! His water capture features are truly integrated into the design. He was always forthcoming with choices and suggestions every step of the way. His passion and knowledge for native drought tolerant plants were truly impressive, and his quote was very reasonable.
Throughout the project, Jake remained highly involved—he was on-site every day, working alongside the crew and making sure everything went smoothly.
I have applied for a Turf Replacement Program rebate. Jake’s knowledge and experience was invaluable in getting it pre-approved. His in-depth knowledge of the rebate requirements was integrated into his design.
I can’t wait to see everything in full bloom!

Jake and his team did a great job of totally revamping our front yard and backyard, and Jake provided several suggestions that improved the design which was done by a friend. The front yard is no longer water-guzzling grass, but is now awesome California native drought-tolerant plants with gravel pathways, a rock swale and lots of interest. Neighbors compliment us on the yard all the time, and our water bill dropped dramatically! The backyard looks amazing, too. Many thanks for everything!

Words can't express how pleased I was working with Jake, Roberto, and the Grounded Landscape team. Jake is kind, communicative, and so incredibly helpful. I had long wanted to convert my lawn into a California native landscape but felt overwhelmed by all the options and decisions involved. Jake was responsive at every step of the way and brought an impressive knowledge of native plants. He made the entire process feel easy and reassuring.

I felt completely confident working with Grounded Landscapes and our front yard is now absolutely stunning. The team brought an artistic vision in creating a space that looks like a California reserve. I was so impressed with the thoughtful choice of rocks for the rain garden, the varied heights and diversity of plants, and overall tranquility they brought to our space. I am so happy every time I look out my front window and cannot wait to see the flowers bloom this spring. Roberto and his team were equally impressive—professional, efficient, and meticulous, leaving our yard clean and neat after each day of work. Thank you so much to everyone!

My partner and I were looking to have a garden full of life and fun, and Jake was the perfect choice for us! He was very accommodating and always listening to our wants and needs. He’s efficient, friendly, attentive to detail and super communicative. His pricing was very honest too and came out lower compared to the other bid I got. What I loved the most was that any time we asked Jake for alternative options, he was always able to give a detailed list with clear pros and cons so that we can choose based on our needs.

Our cats particularly enjoy the flagstone paths they’ve built for us and love to run around the bushes. We are getting monarch caterpillars and California native bees and can’t be happier about the outcome. Thank you Jake!

Jake was a pleasure to work with. I had a design ready for my new yard and he was able to execute and bring my vision to life. He turned my old paved over yard into a beautiful space, which incorporates water capture and all native plants. He was very communicative and took the time to understand exactly what I was looking to accomplish, as well as provided great feedback and had a depth of knowledge whenever I had questions. His prices were fair and he was able to walk me through every step of the process.
He was reliable and friendly, and incredibly detail oriented. I will definitely work with Jake again on any future projects and would recommend him to anyone!
