We had a pretty bad drainage problem along two sides of our home. Evan helped us come up with a plan, and accommodated when we needed to alter the plan at the eleventh hour. He was transparent with his quote, responsive with communications, and just a very pleasant person to interact with. We are very happy with the services he provided and would highly recommend him and his crew for any drainage needs!

Evan is fantastic and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend DirtNerds for any excavation jobs. He was incredibly knowledgeable and spoke clearly about the scope of work, pricing, and timeline. He worked within our budget and ensured all of our requests were met!

It was great to work with someone who is passionate about their craft and transparent about costs/pricing. We will definitely be using them again for all of our future work.

We contracted Dirt Nerd to landscape our 600 meter road to our new home. He took the time to properly understand what we were looking for and called multiple site meetings to ensure our vision was fully captured. His attention to detail and experience working with steep slopes, rock and organic material left us with a road that looked like it had been there for 100 years.

Thank you Evan. We will be using your team for all future projects.

Rave for Dirt Nerd Earthworks: we had a window well outside our basement window that was threatening to let go and crash through our basement window at any time. Thanks to Evan, the Dirt Nerd and his crew who took it all apart, block by block, and rebuilt it, block by block. Having carefully taken it apart, they saved and re-used the same blocks, saving us a bundle of money. The excavator operator (Quinn) operated his machine with the precision of a surgeon. He didn't damage a single block or make a single scratch on our house.
Rob, the block guy, re-installed the blocks and did a great job. He explained to us why the wall had failed and what had been done wrong when it was initially built. Having watched the daily progress of the project, we are very impressed by the professionalism of the Dirt Nerd team, and we are very confident that this window well and pony wall will be here long after we are gone. We are completely satisfied with the price we paid for this project and the peace of mind it gives us, knowing that this time it has been done right and won't crash through our basement window. A great big thank-you to the Dirt Nerd team, Evan, Quinn, and Rob for a job well done! Below is a picture of the before and 2 pictures of the after.

We found Evan when we were looking for a contractor to rebuild a retaining wall across the front of our property. We had spoken to a number of contractors but Evan stood out as someone who was passionate about the quality and end result of his work. He listened to our ideas and was able to provide us with a solution that both fit our budget and our vision of the project. Evan’s communication throughout the project was excellent. He met us on site for consultation and throughout the project he regularly updated us with pictures and video calls to show the progress. We are extremely happy with the end result. It turned out much better than we anticipated. We would highly recommend Evan and Dirt Nerd Contracting and will definitely call him back for our next project.
