Went there Christmas night 2023 and was having a look at their outdoor space. We have been there during the summer also but we always seem to go when they are closed. Love their outdoor displays. Going to try to get there in the summer when they are open so we can walk around the show room.

Growing up, I always thought Artistic Landscaping was a professional, high end local business in Waterloo Region. Well, they proved me wrong. They installed a retro fitted pool light which I paid an astronomical amount for - they pitched the light as one of the best in North America, but when they pulled out the handheld remote with at least a dozen buttons to change the colours of the led light … they first had to pull the 2 foot antenna from the remote. (And by the way, it doesn’t even work from the deck in the yard). There solution? Grab a tomato cage from the garden and attach the wire to it in the garden by the pool for better reception. To top it off, they recorded a training video on site and neglected to have us sign off on a privacy release as they included my son and I in the recording. To top it off, they went on to say the reason for the installation costing so much was due to the time it took to install it. So essentially, I paid for their time to record a training video. I paid $1,000 for the ONE amoray retrofitted pool light plus $1,400 for installation plus tax of course . I’m surprised that this husband and wife team are still in business. She plays reception, he plays employee and they manipulate information being told to their customers. Maybe they saw a sucker knowing I was a single parent. They promised they’d be back to improve their MacGyver’d antenna tomato cage, but I’m pretty confident after two years and multiple follow ups that they can’t be counted on to follow through.

I was disappointed in the customer service. After I placed my order, I waited 3 weeks for promised phone calls which never happened. Each week I had to call and ask about my order at least 2 days after the promised call back date. Once the shrubs were finally delivered, they were not what I wanted -- 1 gal shrubs instead of the 2 gal, which I ordered. I was not given the option of accepting or rejecting the smaller shrub. I understand that Covid 19 has caused the nurseries much confusion, but even a call to say that the shrubs were not yet in would have been an improvement over silence.
