This by far the worst snow removal company I have ever experienced. They have damaged numerous garage doors, bricks, siding, curbs and grass from snow plows. We had them on our ring camera and they denied hitting our garage door and would not repair it. The workers have told us they are told to trim trees and have no idea what or how to trim them. They stand on small shrubs and use a string trimmer on weeds so they do not have to pull weeds. They drive their lawn mowers over wood chips instead of going around landscape beds.
MJS Landscaping did an amazing job transforming our backyard with a paver patio, pergola, fire pit area and creative landscaping on a tough hill. Dave, Raul, and the crew worked like they were completing a project at their own homes—professional, detail oriented, and leaving the site clean every day. Dave was easy to work with, clearly communicated the plan, and handled changes smoothly. The subcontractors were well coordinated and executed their parts skillfully. We couldn’t be happier with the results and highly recommend MJS Landscaping!
Our experience with MJS was excellent from start to finish. After visiting our home and listening to what we were hoping to create, our landscape designer came up with a comprehensive plan that we could view electronically and tweak easily to get to a final plan. The construction crew worked extremely well together and put in very long, full days. They were courteous, clean, and professional. There was strong communication daily from the construction crew, supervisors, and our designer, who was on site several times a week. We felt our opinions during construction were welcomed and valued. Overall we can say MJS was our best contractor experience and created a beautiful space that we will enjoy for many years to come.
We are so pleased with the MJS team – we worked extensively with Tracy and Raul and we received exceptional advice and service from the beginning of the project to the end of the project! Our yard was full of dead and oversized trees, scraggy bushes, uneven grass, dangerous steps to the backyard and a tired landscape. We gave Tracy a blank slate to design and asked her to assume that we’d be willing to take down any and all trees/bushes so that she could come up with a cohesive plan and fill the property with viable trees/bushes. We trusted Tracy to come up with a cohesive plan and work with the few elements we wanted to retain but generally we gave her free rein to design. We gave Tracy some pictures and requested a few particular plants. She took these elements and her design plan was outstanding! Our only tweak was to swap out some of the flowers! In addition, her design plan to fix the steps from the front of the house to the back of the house (which were becoming dangerously uneven) was exceptional and she tied together the front and the back with stone and rock. She addressed some water flow needs by creating riverbeds to handle rainwater. She also added accents lights which make the property beautiful at night. Tracy prepared a 3D design which helped us visualize the concept. The team that implemented the plan was led by Raul and he and his team are exceptionally talented. He turned Tracy’s beautiful design plan into reality. We were in contact with Raul to address normal course matters that arise during big landscape projects. For example, we ended up creating an unplanned second riverbed to address some drainage issues that arose because of a heavy rainfall during the project. Their ability to implement changes so quickly was amazing. The before and after pictures are stunning and we have complete strangers slow down as they drive by the house and compliment the landscaping. We would highly recommend Tracy, Raul and the MJS team – they take great pride in their work and they designed and built a beautiful place for us to enjoy as a family. We are very grateful for their amazing work that we will enjoy for years to come.
We worked with Tracy Jenks on our landscaping and hardscaping project in 2021. She was a dream to work with: very responsive, great ideas, ensured outside contractors did their parts on time, figured out product options when timing was able to be moved up and supply chain issues were rampant. She was patient as we made adjustments to the plan early on, provided photos of work done while we were away, did what she said she was going to all along and always had a smile. Their work was not the cheapest quote we received but not the highest either, and even during the quote process NO ONE else compared when it came to listening to what we wanted, being responsive and did what they promised. We’ve gotten so many compliments and we absolutely love it. Worth every penny!
