Recent reviews highlight helpful staff who take time to explain options and save customers unnecessary costs, especially for vehicle keys. Many note quick turnaround and willingness to go above and beyond, even when issues are complex. Feedback also mentions courteous service and successful solutions for broken keys and spare key needs.

Absolutely amazing experience with Jim’s Bike and Key Shop in Columbia! My Honda key literally broke off in the ignition and I was panicking because the car wouldn’t work unless the fob/chip stayed touching the broken key piece. Honda quoted me around $150+ plus an $80 programming fee and made it sound like a huge ordeal because the part had to be ordered.

I drove straight to Jim’s Bike and Key Shop and they fixed it quickly, professionally, and for only $45. They transferred the chip into a new key case and had me back on the road fast. Huge relief.

They were honest, knowledgeable, affordable, and didn’t try to upsell me or take advantage of the situation. They know what they’re doing. If you need key work, lock help, fobs, skip the dealership and go here first.

Seriously saved our three day weekend!!

John was absolutely amazing in helping me get my vehicle back in commission! He removed and reinstalled the battery for no extra cost after it turned out it was dead and didjt take payment until I had the key in hand! They also guided me on getting a key code from the dealership which saved me $85! Can't recommend them enough

Tyler Smith on Jim's Bike & Key Shop

I stopped in trying to get keys made for the locks on my service truck. Unfortunately, they weren’t able to resolve my issue, but the team at Jim’s went above and beyond trying to help.

The problem wasn’t on their end — my service bed has six different locks that all require different keys, and the numbers on the lock cylinders weren’t useful for identifying how the keys needed to be cut. After spending time trying to help me figure it out, they explained that my best option would likely be replacing the locks and even referred me to the original manufacturer of the service bed.

What really stood out to me was that they took the time to try to help, even though they didn’t make a dime off the visit. That kind of honesty and customer service is hard to find.

I appreciate their effort and will definitely be coming back to them in the future for any locksmith needs. It’s also great to support a small, locally owned business.

Went to get truck keys cut that I already purchased. They were very helpful, fast and knowledgeable. Their door greeter is very cute and polite. It was a great experience.

I wanted a spare key for my storage unit. I went to two other locations before I finally found them.
