Pretty disappointed after looking at the reviews and not getting the same quality of service most of the reviews reported. Had a bad experience with Swanson, so we called Albany lock & key to come out and fix an issue with the lock & knob for our business. They came out the same day to replaced our hardware and key it to our keys. Within a week we realized that we could not lock the knob lock from the outside, which wasn’t terrible since we also have the padlock. I called to tell them and they didn’t seem too concerned. At that time I also noticed that the “new” hardware had a crack in the shaft behind the outer knob and appeared used, we had expected that he installed new hardware prior to noticing that. Then a couple days later the door started sticking closed and wouldn’t open at all to allow customers in and out, so we called them back to fix it. They came out and got the door loose and said the issue was resolved. Within a week the door was sticking closed again, so we tried to call them back but they didn’t answer and didn’t return the call after leaving a voicemail. We ended up having to call a different maintenance person to get the door open again twice since we last tried to call and have been told that the hardware is worn out and will continue to stick. Leading us to believe it was in fact used hardware. I really hoped we’d have better luck with Albany lock and key based on other reviews but ended up disappointed. It doesn’t seem unreasonable to expect follow up on issues that may arise from services that your company provided.
This was such an easy process! I almost wish I had more doors to re-key. Great customer service and professionalism. Highly reccomend for all your key needs.
My wife had been there before to change out the locks for our house. This was my first time dealing with this business and was very impressed with their professionalism and reasonable prices.I had the locks in all doors and the ignition of my 2002 Chevy Tahoe changed and a new Electronic fob was addedI would recommend these guys for all your needs with locks and keys.Thank you guys.
Won't make a replacement car key without charging to reprogram it. Even if it's a self program procedure, no special tools or programs required, just being greedy. Home depot or Lowe's we go! Not paying 65 bucks to turn an ignition key and wait 5 seconds???????
Excellent, speedy, understanding customer service. Tim was extremely friendly and easy to work with! I highly recommend these guys! I got locked out of my fifth wheel trailer (part of the key broke off and destroyed the lock), Tim F. got me inside within 20 minutes. Thank you SO much!
