This is one of, if not the best hardware store I've been in. I was a frequent shoppr at Robnett's before they closed, and Wade has a way better selection of tooling for those of us who work in the trades. I get frustrated with corporate hardware stores for usually just having a poor selection of gimmicky cheap tools, but this place has legit great stuff on their shelves. VERY knowledgeable staff as well. Highly highly recommend
Intuitive layout with none of the tacky frills that plague the typical generic corporate store. The store environment is calm, allowing you to feel more at ease and keep your mind on the project without the interference of miscellaneous distractions. You will not regret making this shop your first destination for hardware needs.
Something old is new again. Wades Hardware has moved in and personnely I couldn't be happier at how they did. They kept the charm of the wood structure of the old store right down to the creek floors but upgraded the tables and display features which they kept low so the entire store can be viewed from front to back. They did so well in that aspect everything felt fresh. The quantity and quality of the merchandise is vast, the walk through door to the other side is still there and the theme of open, airy space giving the merchandise the emphasis. It feels like the old hardware store is still there with a quality upgrade.South Corvallis will benefit from having Wades Hardware as their neighbor.
Went there with a mission to find hardware I needed to fix my guitar, not knowing exactly what I needed. I forgot his name but he said, "I've got an idea"! Found precisely what I needed and for a very reasonable price. I would recommend this hardware store over any other major hardware stores around. If you can't find it or don't know you need it, they will find it! Below is the assembled jack brace I needed.
What a great store. I even got cheap all-cotton tug toys for my dogs that are sold by the foot. Compare that to the expensive ropey toys from the pet store.
