Customer feedback is mixed. Several reviewers note the kiosk is fast, convenient, and produced accurate copies for common house and padlock keys. Others report issues with app connectivity and occasional miscuts or rough edges that needed filing. Overall comments highlight convenience, with some variability in results.
The digital key storage does work but using the app to tell the machine was a major P.I.T.A. The machine was not responsive. I had to log in and out of the app to get the key files to actually go to the machine. I couldn't get more than one key to load at a time. Sometimes the app would say the key is send but nothing would happen at the machine. I just needed 2 keys cut and I had to log in and out of the app like 6 times to get the files to transfer.
I've used Minute Key for house keys (entrance keys) for several years, but never for padlock keys because I didn't know they could duplicate them. Yesterday, my Lowes was out of the correct blanks, so with nothing to lose, I tried the Minute Key machine, and it handled two Master keys with no problem. Very pleased.
This was the first time I've used your kiosk and I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and efficiency. The selection of key blanks was second to none and the ease of use was exceptional. Every step was easy to understand and the keys were a perfect match to my original. This was very proficient and everything went very well. Thank you for providing such a useful and efficient service.
Cut three keys at a machine at Lowe's. When I got them out of the machine, there were still significant amounts of shards still clinging to the key and they needed to be filled down. The keys were significantly shorter than the original, even though the original was a common house key. The keys would not unlock the door and I had to use a pair of pillars to get them out of the keyhole. Total waste of money. Do yourself a favor and go to a locksmith and get your keys cut professionally. Otherwise, you would be better off throwing your money on the ground and walking away.
It's fast, accurate ,no need to hunt someone down that works in hardware and I like the price
