The machine worked fine. Debit and Credit Card are fine. Prices are ok.
Like the idea however 2 days ago I had a simple house key made in the machine. Not even close. Does not unlock the lock. When you put both keys together you can see the defect. Nothing is perfect and I realize that. I will pay more and have keys cut by someone in person.
I am usually very please with minute key. My last experience was not great however, I had to go to multiple store before I found a working machine and then once I tried my key it was not cut properly and did not work.
Great machine. Very easy process. You click start, and it asks you to put the key in the slot (as if you are putting in a lock) and it clamps on to it and scans it. Then you have a selection of a few different styles/colours of keys, some blue, some hockey theme, canada flag, or normal. Once you select you finalize and pay (i used visa debit card). And it starts making the key(keys). There was a buy 2 get 1 brass key free special when i was there. It is also neat that you can see inside as its making the keys, you can see it select the right key from the rack inside, and then cut it and it falls out after. It would be fun for kids to see if interested in machines moving. keys were about 4.99$ each or 5.99 if you get a coloured version. The only negative think i might say, is that there was some slight metal burs on the edge of the key, they were easy to brush off with my finger, but maybe a sight the cutter was getting dull. It was maybe 1-2 weeks ago.Overall, it worked great, it was pretty fast, and all the keys work perfectly (i had 6 and checked them all), and not very expensive. 5 stars and i would go there again.
I just wanted to share minute key is a vending machine inside the Walmart. Not an actual key store and at the time the minute key machine was out of service. I went to the other Walmart in Town and it cut my key just fine.
