I've used Minute key twice so far.It is a machine located in Walmart.I like it because the cuts are accurate and I don't have to wait at the hardware store.I usually get 3 keys and one is free.
I used this service in the Walmart store today. I paid for two new keys to get a third one free. None of the keys worked to open the lock. I ended up going to Home Hardware and the keys were less expensive and they worked.
Bought buy 2 get 1, 1 key stuck on despense tray, no support to help it get it out. Key was already cut so if wrong person get it, might threat security. Now when i came home and tried remaining 2 keys it won't work. This was my 2nd bad experience with auto key cut machine. And never going back better go to professional person even if they charge more you will have quality of work and value.
Minute Key is efficient, cheap, and impersonal. No need to deal with humans. And the copied keys work. In the one case when a copy did not work, Minute Key promptly provided a refund. Two thumbs up.
With stores closed due to Covid, I used the Minute Key kiosk in our local Walmart. The instructions were easy to follow and within minutes I had a new key cut. I went home to make sure the new key worked....which it did perfectly!
