So the value added being prompted to cut 3 keys instead of 1 was lost for me. That doesn’t feel great in these current days of “buyer beware”. I don’t usually participate in Google reviews ( unless asked ) but in its case I’ve been unsuccessful reaching the company so am hoping they see my review and kindly reach out to me ??

I called at 11:00am for a locksmith to open a locked closet as I forgot my key. (I arrived 2 days before my family to paint and all the paint supplies (including paint the colors) are locked in the closet.) I choose KeyMe as it was located less than 2 miles away. I received a call back in 30 minutes verifying my address and then nothing. I’ve called back at least once an hour for 8 hours now. Each time I’m routed to a call service who collects my information, tells me they will personally reach out to the technician to get an update and have the technician update me. So far, crickets. And it’s now after 8pm so the chances of success are slim. If they knew they were busy, fine. Let me know and I could have called another company. Very disappointed and do not recommend. UPDATE: That called 4 days later to arrange a time to unlock the door. However, the door was already open due to a different company who came right out after I needed to call someone new.

Finding the KeyMe kiosk at my grocery store was a great convenience. Just when I thought I would have to make another stop, I saw the banner for getting keys made. It was fast, the machine had what I needed and getting three for the price of two made it cost about the same as the local big box hardware store. Plus the keys were of a better quality and work perfectly. I couldn’t be happier.

The price is 2 1/2 times of what one would pay at other establishments...but keep in mind you are paying for convenience. They ask you for more detail information like e-mail address, phone number and etc. under the disguise that you can get a duplicate easily from any of their locations...although that may be true so far it has been used to send me seven (7) different e-mail in the past nine day including this one asking me to rate them. it could be a good service if they don't hound you...

They showed up and replaced a part that I didn't want replaced and then charged me $350 and wouldn't let me try to see if it worked. I wanted my ignition replaced. They replaced the pins and my key still wouldn't release and also it cranked fine now it is hard to turn the key to crank. I called them to let them know it wasn't working still and the technician told me he fixed it and must of broke it when he left. I called the company for atleast 4 hours and they kept telling me he was coming back to fix it and when the technician called he cussed me out left and right and told the company it was fixed after they said they were gonna send him back out. Now that was at 1230 and here it is 545 and no one has returned to fix anything. Don't ever call this company for anything. This technician talks rude to people and doesn't do the job he was suppose to do when he knew what to do and they turn around and blame the customer. Worst business ever!!!!!!

My young daughter was stranded alone with her keys locked in her car. As her parents, we are from out of town 3 hours away. She called This company and the expected wait time was 30-40 minutes. They were later than that getting there. They told her it would be $180 and she signed the paperwork. AFTER she signed, they charged the credit card $239. I am appalled at the dishonesty and unprofessionalism from this company in addition to the outrageous price. We called the office immediately afterwards and no one answered the phone.

BEWARE OF SCAMMING
Because they claim 24-hr service, I called for locksmith at a home (8:30pm) where petsitting. They apparently referred my call to a third party. When the agent arrived, I was told it would be $200 to pick or drill door knob lock (w/power drill) and I told him to go ahead. After under 5 minutes trying to pick it and under 1minute to drill it, it opened. When he returned to his truck to transact the payment on my credit card, he told me the charge was $500 (+tax) and ELECTRONICALLY filed an UNITEMIZED receipt SCRIBBLE-SIGNED (which I NEVER do) by him and texted it to me. My credit card company could not help because I did not have a written copy of the pre-service amount quoted. When I finally was able to contact the customer service (after multiple recorded messages & failures to return my calls). Customer Service contacted the technician that had scammed me AND, while waiting to hear back from Customer Service, I IMMEDIATELY BEGAN RECEIVING HARASSING CALLS & TEXTS directly from the technician, with foul language.

It was great! Love my new Key. I did not realize that some keys could be made on the spot and some would be mailed to you. I got the Darth Vader style key and I didn't realize until the end of the purchase that it would be mailed to me a few days later. I wish that was more obvious from the beginning. It may have swayed my decision to get a more instant style key. Having said that, I am overall happy with my experience.
