Had 1 house key made at the Kiosk in Syracuse Smiths, got home and it wouldn’t turn the lock. I paid a few extra to get the precise cut too.Looked at it (should have done prior) and it was not even close to the original. Went back to give them a second chance, key #2 looked promising, came back home and still didn’t turn the lock. Waiting for refund (2-5 Days). Go to Backus in Layton, instead…

Listen to the reviews, do not go with this company. I had the unfortunate luck of locking my keys in my car and no one was open except this company. The guy shows up, unprofessional, and looks at my car and says $225. Absolutely not. And when I said I can’t pay that I had to pay him for driving to me. I was stuck and alone, and had no other option but to pay the money to get it unlocked. This place definitely will swindle you by putting you in these situations. Beware!!!

Horrible!!! It’s a scam!!! They wanted to charge 179 and than the blonde hair guy cussed me out and said he was going to call the cops but never did because it’s a scam!!!!

30 seconds of work for extortion prices!! And they charge you a service fee on top of the pick fee. So if they quote you a price over the phone, plan on 4x that price. Don't hire this company. Check with your insurance carrier first

Tried to call and cancel my appointment 6 times. I was able to get what I needed done myself in the time it took their tech to even reach out. Each time I tried to cancel they would tell me they were transferring me and then hung up on me. Finally tech shows up an hour after he initially said he would and I had to tell him I tried canceling and they kept hanging up. Tech then tried to tell me I really did still need him when I in fact did not. Worst customer service I have dealt with in a while

A bit too pricey and the copy does NOT WORK. I used a machine to copy a key. I don’t really know if it’s owned by these guys or not, but ever since I did it, it keeps sending me texts from them, with the brand name from the machine. Including asking for this review. So SPAM texts and a nonfunctional key. Boo.

The machine is near the carts in the Smith’s grocery store on Fairfield Road. If it’s not run by these guys, then they need to have it stop texting me their number. I do not recommend.

Came an hour later than they said, and they wanted $300 for essentially 2 bike locks. And I can't understand anyone at their call center

I honestly feel like I was taken advantage of. All we required was a padlock to be cut off of a storage shed. The technician would not quote me the cost of the service over the phone. He said he needed to look at the lock first. It only took him 10 minutes to drive to our house, so the response was quick. He worked with my sister to cut the lock because I was not yet there. It took the technician literally 10 seconds to cut the lock with his tools and he charged my sister $350 for the service. To me this is an absurd amount of money to charge to cut a simple padlock. This was NOT an after-hours service. This happened on a weekday during normal business hours. So, I’m pretty disappointed with this service.

Just wanted a quote and they drove all the way out and tried to open the car right away. After telling them no they demanded to be paid for driving 10 minutes to my car. A complete shady SCAM

AVOID THIS SCAM. Locked myself out. We're quick to show up. But this is a total and complete scam. The charges for the service of unlocking a car should not exceed $300.00 even with a travel fee. Conveniently, their card reader wasn't working, so they only took cash. Beware of this company. The number provided on the Google map information is incorrect, so it sends you straight into the scam instead of the actual company listed KeyMe. Verify the number.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! 100% Scam
This was hands-down one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with any service provider. First of all, they refused to give me a price over the phone and insisted that someone had to come out in person to "assess the vehicle"—(a blatant setup to pressure customers on the spot.) After a couple minutes we were able to get in our car on our own with out there help. Called to let them know not to come.

But it gets worse. They charged my credit card without authorization way over the $29 fee for travel / cancelation?! Never provided a clear breakdown of the costs. No receipt? no invoice? was told I needed to sign a settlement form to get the difference back?! That is theft, plain and simple. I was shocked to see extra charges that were never discussed, agreed upon, or approved. The next day a $500 withdrawal was tried threw a cash app luckily it was caught seems like you have some people stealing from your customers to much of a coincidence I would look into that.

The customer service? Absolutely horrendous. Rude, dismissive, and completely unhelpful. Whoever is training these people seriously needs to reevaluate their approach to communication and ethics. The whole operation feels like a scam with zero regard for honesty or professionalism.

Avoid at all costs. There are plenty of reputable locksmiths out there—this is NOT one of them.

A different place would have picked the lock for $115, but I didn't know I would have been charged $350 until the guy got here. Stay away from this business, because you will get scammed. We were originally told $275 (which is outrageous) and $75 in fees were added without warning.

I accidentally locked my keys in the car on a hot day — with my dog inside — and called KeyMe in a panic. They responded quickly, which I truly appreciated, and they were able to unlock my car without causing any damage.

Pros: Arrived promptly and did not damage the vehicle

Cons: I was not informed ahead of time about the multiple additional fees. The base price to unlock the car was $275, but I was also charged $39.90 for the service call, $9.76 as a "service fee," and $15.75 in tax — bringing the total to a staggering $340.41.

The technician initially said they didn’t accept Apple Pay, but then couldn’t get enough signal to process my card and asked if I could actually pay with Apple Pay — or else go find an ATM.

He repeatedly told me to "just submit the receipt to your insurance — they’ll reimburse you," which felt like a rehearsed line for customers who are shocked by the price. Spoiler alert: most insurance companies do not reimburse for lockout services unless you have specific roadside coverage.

Bottom line:
Yes, they got me back into my car quickly. But I paid an outrageous amount for it, and the experience left a bad taste in my mouth. Make sure you ask about the full cost upfront — and don’t expect your insurance to cover it.

Was told over the phone that the service fee is $29 and that the lock smith would tell me a price when he got there. The guy come in jeans and a t shirt and no business vehicle, no business logo, nevada license plate. He told me it would be $95 a “pillow” and that it should only use one maybe two. He used 3. I’ve been in this situation before it cost me $80. This service cost me $365.
He also damaged the seal on my car.

It's not inexpensive. The guy was super nice and fast but the price was wildly expensive.

I do not like their model. I called them once to ask about prices and now I’m getting tons and tons of calls from all different numbers. Super inconvenient model for the customer
Tony Waller
Easy, inexpensive as compared to locksmith, quick, and I am thankful.

I used the KeyMe automated kiosk inside the Smith's grocery store in Syracuse, Utah to make two copies of our house key. The price was okay, and it was very convenient to use, since the kiosk is close to our home. The keys work great! I did pay the $2 additional fee to have the keys ground down a bit to make them function better in the lock. I think that was probably helpful in having the keys work as well as they do. I recommend that little addition. Thank you for providing this service.
