- Car lockouts and key fob programming- Residential lock rekeying, lock repair, and hardware fitting- Light commercial lock services and rekeying- Scheduled and same/next-day appointments during posted hours
Reviews mention friendly phone support that helps clarify needs, and several customers note solid workmanship on door hardware and key fob programming. Some feedback reports delays or missed appointment windows and difficulty reaching the tech after scheduling. Pricing is described by a few as fair, though there are occasional concerns about quoted scope versus completed work. Overall ratings reflect good outcomes for many, with inconsistency in response times.
I locked my keys in my car. 1st time ever and I've been a licensed driver for 36 years. In 2 hours and 45 minutes I spoke to 3 customer service reps. The 1st one was OK, the 2nd one was so very nice, the 3rd one was quite rude. When the tech FINALLY called me we were at the 3 hour mark. I told him to forget it at this point that I would call a more professional and known company come the morning. Which I did, they were fantastic, arrived within an hour of my call. Don't waste your time calling these people, call Pop A Lock instead.
When I first called to have twoDoors refitted in our new-to-us house, the man on the other end of the phone spent a huge amount of time finding out what we wanted, making recommendations and asking questions. He even had me upload a photo for clarification. When our hardware arrived I called back and they scheduled a locksmith for the very next day. Enter Pat! This man did impeccable work in a friendly and straightforward way and also made absolutely sure that we understood how to program our code into the doors.
I only chose this company because their reviews mentioned affordability, and I was quoted $150 for both key cutting/repair (don’t know the difference) and key fob programming. After waiting over six hours, the locksmith arrived and completed the programming in about 10 minutes but didn’t do the key repair. I told him my key had been giving me trouble, sometimes requiring a lot of wiggling to get into the keyhole and unlock the vehicle, and that I had even been locked out in freezing weather before because of this. Despite this, he said my key didn’t need a repair and didn’t even consider it since it worked for him that day. When I asked about a partial refund for the service not provided (key repair), he responded, ‘I’m sorry if there was a misunderstanding, but the minimum price is $150 total. That was just to program the key. Unfortunately, we do not do refunds.’ While he was polite, the long wait time, lack of transparency, and unwillingness to adjust the price for a service not done made this a frustrating experience. If you’re considering this company, be aware that $150 is their minimum charge for key fob programming.
Called for service on the following day. Prompt reply and friendly rep. He sent me a text and we confirmed again same day of service. 20 minutes after scheduled appointment I called and RJ stated he could be there in 15-30 minutes. Sent a text to confirm that was still okay since I wasn't on site. 45 minutes later still nothing. When I called back, no answer. Sent another text, no answer. I don't like highlighting negative but this is truly unprofessional and a waste of time.
I can not give enough stars to express how customer oriented this company is. I called for service and they arrived before the ETA that was quoted. The service Tech was friendly and professional. After getting my lock opened, I requested another service (vehicle fob) and without hesitation he quickly took care of that issue for me as well. Although I was an early hour customer the prices were fair and pocket friendly. If you're looking for quality, look no farther. This company is 10 stars ?? worthy!!
