I have had several outstanding experiences with Pop-a-Lock of Northern NJ (Bloomingdale -based team). Specifically, with mobile battery jumps.The dispatch is responsive, and the technicians are knowledgeable, efficient, and kind.Overall, an excellent customer experience.
Got connected to Pop-A-Lock through roadside assistance with my insurance. Request was sent at 8am and for 4 hours, until 12pm, no one called or contacted me. I called them 4 times and each time spoke to a different rep, who told me they would text the tech and have him call me or that their manager will reach out but still no calls whatsoever. Got a few text updates from insurance and it seemed that each time they were reached out to, they just randomly give an ETA that they could not honor at all. Had to call insurance to cancel and find someone else. I am fortunate that I didn't have to wait in the cold for someone to come but cannot imagine if I would have to. Do not recommend at all.
Worse service I’ve ever experienced. I was informed someone would come and assist within an hour. A serviceman did not arrive for almost 3 hours. I kept calling for assistance and even had a rep hang up on me while I was outside in the cold with a toddler for almost 3 hours. Mind you, every time I called they informed me that someone was 7 minutes away, called back a half hour later they the said the person was 12 minutes away. Called again about 40 minutes later they said someone was 5 minutes away. Completely misled me for hours while I waited outside in the cold. I’ve never experienced such horrible service.
My car wouldn’t start after work and I thought the battery was dead. The Pop-A-Lock technician was dispatched by Geico and arrived promptly. He had a replacement battery and could have fooled me into purchasing it but he was honest and kind and explained the battery was fine but the starter was dead. So I had to get it towed etc but I just really appreciated that the guy was honest and also very courteous and just a nice guy.
