here is what you need to know before coming here:so this is my first time to this location and I need it while I was in the area and while I remembered a copy of my car key to keep them my wallet at all times so I can easily unlock my car in case I lock myself out which I've had a reputation of doing and I highly suggest every person dodepending on the key to your model they were able to do a key for my 2006 vehicle without an issue and got it done in minutes so my experience overall was positive I thought it also take a picture of all their different locks door knobs and especially vaults and that's something they have here they have a vault for every size imaginablethey have one restroomthey have a waiting area no Wi-Fi no outletsI've been using the location off Burnet road for over a decade I'm glad to say this location as well did not disappoint with plenty of outside parkingalso very affordable as they even made the key which I thought I was just going to be an extra actually able to start my vehicle now keep in mind the complaints usually are about whether the keys got a special electronic chip which they'll try to match but again depending on what it is depends on if they even got it or if they have some special order itthat being said my experience here was again positive and overall exceeded my expectations and they were even able to make a key for my vehicle to both unlocked it and started it without an issue for less than I expected and super quick toocustomer service was calm cool collected a young gentleman and an older gentleman I did not have any issues or negative interactions with them in any way shape form or fashion they were very hospitable and got me what I needed in and out quick with receipt:)
I called Cothron because we were having issues with our storefront door lock. When the locksmith arrived, he asked what was wrong and requested the key. As I began explaining the issue, he started testing the lock and, before I could even finish my statement, told me everything looked fine.I attempted to explain again, but he repeatedly cut me off and insisted that the lock was working as it should. On the third attempt, I had to ask him to let me complete my statement so he could fully understand the problem. However, he still wasn’t willing to listen. Instead, he dismissed my concerns and said it simply depended on the “speed of locking the door,” which was frustrating to hear. Locking a door isn’t something that should vary based on how fast or slow I turn the key.At that point, I told him not to worry about it and that I’d call another locksmith. Even then, he insisted there was nothing wrong. His attitude made it seem like I didn’t know what I was talking about—even though I lock/unlock this door every day and knew something wasn’t right!I ended up calling a different locksmith, who arrived within 30 minutes. He worked on the lock for about an hour, consulted with his office, realigned it, and got it working properly. That experience confirmed what I already knew—there was an issue, and it did need fixing.I was very disappointed with Cothron’s service, especially the dismissive attitude and unwillingness to listen. A professional should take the time to understand the customer’s concerns instead of brushing them off. Unfortunately, I won’t be using their services again.
