Mike saved me ~$450.The rubber buttons on my car's key fob had worn down and one of them had fallen off completely, preventing me from being able to hit the button inside the fob. I was able to hit it with a needle, but my fingers were too large to press it. I took it to the dealership to see what they could do, but they quoted me ~$500 for a brand new fob plus programming.Since I knew the internals were still functional, I figured there might be some way to transfer them into a new shell. Mike was able to get a new key fob shell within a week, and today he transferred the internals and cut a new key for $50. Excellent work. The replacement fob looks and functions like brand new.
Mike was magnificent to work with. I was able to get an appointment relatively quickly, exchanged some photos of my door hardware so that he could more efficiently address the problem in one visit. Work was completed efficiently and professionally.Here’s the kicker though - he didn’t just fix the tumbler in my door, he actually let me watch and showed me how rekeying works.The next kicker - I had asked whether he knew anyone local for door repair/replacement for some trouble with our door frame. He showed me a temporary solution to keep it working better til I can get it fixed!! He took time out of his day to help me with this problem purely out of kindness and I could not be more appreciative.
We could not get our trunk open with a key or the wire latch system. I called St Charles Lock and Key and Mike came out within a hour. He had to pop the back seat latch to release the trunk lock from inside the trunk and fixed the problem. Super guy and super service.
Great experience using this company. Very prompt getting back to me and coming out for bid. Was back in a couple days and was able to find a handle and lock that was very hard to find. Scheduled work promptly and pricing was very fair. Mike was great to work with!
