Customer feedback is mixed. Several reviewers liked the convenience and ease of making a quick house key, while others mentioned slower-than-expected cutting times and higher prices compared with local hardware stores. A few comments cite limited design choices at the kiosk. There are also reports of variable experiences with mobile locksmith assistance, including communication and completion time.
It was easy to use. My grandson needed a house key and it made it quick and easy
Extremely slow cutting three keys and charged more than 50% more than ACE hardware for the most basic key. The kiosk also only had a few patterned keys to choose from; drastically less than any other time I’ve made keys, including with a similar kiosk. Definitely won’t use a kiosk in the future when I need keys cut.
They were quick to open my son's car door, excellent communication and customer service. We highly recommend them!
The kiosk inside Fred Meyers is awful. The keys never actually copy correctly, nor do they work in the lock(even if you upgrade to a nice quality option). You're better off going to Ace Hardware across the street; it's cheaper, faster, and better quality.
Took 4-5 hours for him to complete the task. To begin the guy kept spamming my phone while i was driving i answered when i pulled off and he was super upset that i didnt answer the phone while driving i told him i dont answer my phone while driving for safety and legal reasons he ignored my response. I understand that there were 2 doors with 4 locks on it each but he was only able to lockpick 2 and had to screw off the other 2. Once done he replaced the knobs but was struggling with making them work together at one point he was watching youtube on how to fix it. Not sure if he was a new guy but he was on a video call with his supervisor to try and fix it and they just yelled back and forth at each other. Finally comes payment which I had told him before his arrival that i do not have the card on me because i work for a caregiving company and they would call him and give him the card numbers so he could manually enter it which weve never had issues doing this. We go to do this and the supervisor is open on his phone saying we cant do that and its a safety issue for them which makes NO SENSE. If anything it was a safety issue for us providing the card numbers snd everything manually/verbally. So he insisted we had to share the link via email which no matter how many times it was resent it never arrived. My boss had to drive all the way over to scan the card. The final payment for 4 locks was $500+. The guy was also super uncomfortable and awkward to talk too and was passive aggressive towards us especially my client. Refused to talk to my client/the house renter because he didnt wanna talk to her and would only talk to me the caregiver. He refused to give a bussiness card or his name. Honestly super glad this experience is over and Ill never be going to them for locksmithing needs again. My advice is look elsewhere.
