What customers say
Customers praise the helpful service and friendly staff; one appreciated the patient explanation of what was needed, while another said staff met their lock-and-key needs on the spot. A longtime customer described a difficult back-door repair that left everything working well. One reviewer objected to the weekend closure and said they bought a safe elsewhere because another shop was open on Saturdays.

Once again, I had a great experience with River City Lock and Key. They're the only company I've used at my home, which means I've been a customer for over 25 years. Today, my back door wouldn't open and I wanted an additional deadbolt (with a door handle replacement). As usual, they were punctual, polite, quick and reasonably priced. The back door was not such an easy fix, but everything works well now, and I couldn't be happier.

Awesome customer service. They were able to help me out even though 2 other places couldn't.

We had an awesome experience with River City Lock and Key! They rekeyed 5 doors, replaced a battery-operated code lock with a manual one, and made multiple keys for us all for under $340. Not only was the service and price great, but I love that their keys have their logo on them, which happens to be the San Antonio skyline! When I first called, I knew nothing about locks, but they patiently walked me through what we’d need and explained everything in simple terms. Highly recommend them for friendly, knowledgeable, and affordable service!

Business must be good because they don’t want my business. Seriously, closed on Saturday and Sunday and open M-F 8:30 AM – 5 PM? When most workers are at their job? I took my business to their competitor, Texas Safe and Vault, where I purchased a safe because they are open on Saturdays.

I recently contacted River City Lock & Key with a question using the contact form on their website. Their response by email was fast and helpful! When I stopped by the store later in the day, the staff were all friendly and professional. They were able to meet my lock and key needs on the spot and at a competitive price! I'll definitely utilize their services again in the future.
